Sin city theatrical release! Not extended

SnakeandNape

If you are looking at other shows maybe something funny like Community or Parks and Rec. If you have already seen those than disregard.

john reed

looking forward to watching Highlander with you . one of my all time favourite films

Carlos Perez

Please do Seinfeld!! Also, Sin City yesssss

Don Kelley

Hi Jen. I’m rewatching Northern Exposure, a series from the 90’s. Hard to describe but good, very good. I’d do the art class myself, prefer the outdoors for exercise. Good luck ☘️

Chris

Shows that are 1 season, Arcane, The last of us! Multi season shows - Game of thrones, Breaking Bad!

Bammer

Great to see Magnum Force on the list.

john reed

when u get to the final episode of TNG season 3 u will find it impossible to not carry on . no spoilers lol

Descepticon

No worries Jen after TGN season 3 you'll keep going trust me lol

Joseph Krider

As for Star Trek, pace yourself. There are HUNDREDS of episodes across the franchise. And watching your reactions, definitely DANCE.

Patrick Egan

Definitely looking forward to Highlander! Gotta go check which version I have to see if it lines up with the cut you’re watching, though.

PapaXan

I really think you should check out The Last Of Us. Also, as usual, I'll recommend The Expanse.

Barry Hammock

You, uh, will need to at least watch the first 2 episodes of S4, but after that, by all means take a break if you need to! Oh, and dance class of course.

FranciscoGios

Jen the favorites reactions in February for me were Star Trek Beyond & War of the Worlds, I haven’t seen Jo-Jo Rabbit might watch it for later. And you like you can paint or draw so I choose art class for you.

Brian

Take salsa dance class until you get through intermediate level

Wade Wallenstein

Hooray for Highlander! It's a wonderful film and I'm sure you'll like it. Sin City as well?! You have quite the week lol

Andy

Dance class seems like it would be right up your alley.

Byron

“The Expanse”

Ian

Great line up as always Jen really looking forward to sin city . Dance or art 🤔 well you do love to dance and you already have super cool dance moves captions don't lie 🙂 but at the same time I love art and it would be cool seeing what you create so I can't decide both are something you would enjoy so flick a Coin 👍 Shows well it depends on if you are thinking one season shows or multiple but as I've mentioned to you a while ago for the channel I think arcane would do great and my personal pick would be ted lasso the most wholesome show you will ever see , funny , heartwarming and awesome characters . Oh and reacher is great fun too . I imagine you will get requests for more sci-fi Babylon 5 , battlestar Galactica etc but thing is there are millions out there that aren't into sci-fi and would subscribe in a heartbeat if you did something different but that's for you to decide ofc I'm here no matter what 👍

mikethemotormouth

My high points this month: V for Vendetta, Panic Room and Joker What I want to see in March? I hope that YT sequels poll means Last Stand is coming soon seeing as how it came in second behind the Dirty Harry movies. It's been a few months since a Tarantino movie. Still gotta get to Reservoir Dogs, the one I think you'll like best Jackie Brown and my fave Hateful Eight Excuse my poor memory but have we ever had a foreign language movie on the channel? Akira, City of God, Diving Bell and the Butterfly, Amélie, Let the Right One In Edit: just double checked and last one was Train to Busan last year

Eric S

If you feel you need to take a break from Star Trek, I would understand, but that would be a shame for me. I look forward to those episodes. Just my opinion. But, as I said, if you feel you need to, then you should do what’s good for you. I’d like to see the movie Grosse Pointe Blank. Always one of my faves, (and one that’s been showing up on other channels, so you’d get some views. As for series, how about SyFy’s Eureka or Warehouse 13? Such great series.

Brettley67

Star Trek TNG S3 ends on a cliffhanger.. Could be something to look forward to when you come back to it. Also great movies you have lined up this week!.... "He's a Highlanderrr by gawd!!" :D

Looks like an excellent week. My favorites this month were JoJo Rabbit and The Blues Brothers. I also liked Dirty Harry and V for Vendetta. Looking forward to League of Their Own. Hoping that The Breakfast Club wins the 1985 poll. I am TNG fan but good to take a break and do another show. Suggestions below: BREAKING BAD THE SOPRANOS THE QUEENS GAMBIT (2020). 7 episodes. RT=96%. IMDb=8.5. I think it super cool that legitimate chess moves are depicted. THE EXPANSE (2015-2022) [RT=95%, IMDb=8.5] is a great drama sci-fi series (based on a book). I think you would like thi series. It's awesome. BAND OF BROTHERS. 10 episodes. This is my favorite miniseries of all time. ANDOR (2022) (1-season, 12 episodes) (RT 96%, IMDb 8.4) (Nominee 2023 Emmy® Award for Outstanding Drama Series) (prequel to Rogue One) is my favorite Star Wars series, even more than The Mandalorian that I very much liked. Diego Luna recently said filming of season 2 is complete. Season 2 will likely be released in early 2025. THE AMERICANS (2013). Rotten Tomatoes 96%. IMDb = 8.4. djKENTO

Make sure you watch the theatrical cut of Sin City! The other option cuts up the movie into a bunch of short films. It STINKS

JPDotCom23

Yes, I am so glad you are continuing with 'Dirty Harry', going to enjoy that, wait'll you get to 'Sudden Impact'

zynjams

Magnum Force and Sin City. Watching those 2 movies along with Star Trek

Preaching to the Horse's Mouth

One of the other TNG reaction channels I follow would use the between season breaks to spend a few weeks going back and doing a few episodes of TOS. Something to consider as an option if you're interested, J. It's your channel so of course do what you feel is best, but just throwing that out there as an idea. Run a few polls, pick a few episodes, etc etc. Anyhoots, can't wait for next week🖖👍

Julian San

Welp, now that she’ll be watching Dirty Harry, I hope she picks up on the running joke that happens in the series.

TGrimace

Have you considered Squid Game? Or maybe something like The Sopranos?

Grga Pitic

I'm not a big fan of Star Trek, so taking a break from it would be fine with me. I really enjoyed rewatching "The Boys" Season 1 and 2 with you. Season 3 and the new spinoff series GenV (or JenV) have been out for a while. Season 4 of "The Boys" is coming soon, so we could catch up before then.

Geoff S.

Miami Vice. And take an art AND a dance class!

Lean

show recommendations: queens gambit, the boys, blue eye samurai, fleabag, dexter, ozark, braking bad, lost, the office, seinfeld, black mirror, arcane, squid game,...

Happy Hanukkah

For a TV show change of pace, to quote myself quoting myself: Here are two short English comedies: 1. The undisputed classic Fawlty Towers (1975, 12 episodes), starring John Cleese (of Monty Python fame). 2. Modern classic Coupling (2000, 28 eps*). Often described as "Like 'Friends,' but funny." :-) * Last season can be skipped.

Happy Hanukkah

To avoid any possibility of you overlooking this :-) , I will echo Chris and djk in strongly recommending the original theatrical version of Sin City. Dance or art? The more time you spend sitting in front of a screen, the more you should go for active pastimes.

Anthony Peterson

Dance class fo sho! And that's cool Jen I can wait for you to come back to TNG. However I foresee only one problem with that plan....which will reveal itself when we get there....

John Armbruster

Love your TNG shorts, and as others have mentioned, you may find yourself at least watching the first few episodes of season 4. Which is fine, because you've survived the hardest part of the TNG experience. Once you get to season 4, the payoff really begins. I can totally understand being burnt out on 2 episodes a week, perhaps 1 episode a week, or 2 every other week? As for other shows, someone mentioned Northern Exposure is streaming now. You seem to love all things 90s, and this was the most offbeat 90s show of them all. The characters are quirky, and the stories are much more enjoyable than say, Twin Peaks. Think it up your alley.

Jack O

If you're looking for a break from Star Trek, you could catch the other Mike Flanagan shows (Bly Manor, Midnight Mass, House of Usher, even Midnight Club though it got cancelled) as something to stand in.

Byron

I think you would like a Sherlock Holmes show called “Elementary”

Randy Aiken

A good show, and relatively short (about 30 episodes) is Jericho. Or Bitten (3 seasons). Art class or dance class? How about combining art class with gardening and sketching/painting your plants? You could also make some sketches of Boston and the kitties!

James Knight

Season Three Finale.......Will Jen keep her word and Take A Break???

MrDannySteele

Jen might enjoy the show “Night Court”, I am talking about the original series that ran from 1984-1992. Here is a brief summary of the show “An eccentric fun-loving judge presides over an urban night court and all the silliness going on there.” The whole series is available on Freevee, however it will have ads.

Who Are These People

Some people are recommending TV shows. X-Files. or What We Do in the Shadows (movie came first, but TV show is good too).

Jason Scade
>>130784955

It's a kind of fish-out-of-water dramady about the eccentric residents of a fictional small town in Alaska

James_0033

Hi Jen. Sin City is a cool movie so that'll be a good watch. No probs to take a break from TNG as I've never been much of a Trekkie...although Boba Fett is one of my fav characters 😝. I might get lynched for that!! Lol. 24 and Lost are both awesome TV shows to check out sometime. And as for a choice of dance or art class, it has to be dancing. But only if you film yourself and then after we can all post our full length reaction videos 😉 hehe

Jason Scade

Great line-up again! Sin City is a good pick, neo-noir crime somewhat in the style of '300'. My faves for this month would be tied between Dirty Harry and The Blues Brothers. Honorable mention fo JoJo Rabbit. I'd try dance classes first to counter all your seated working time a bit. I'd be happy with a TNG break if that's what most are wanting and also would be happy with continuing. You'll need to watch TNG S4 ep1 though to finish a story. If you do take a TNG break, would it be best to do a series that doesn't have a huge amount of eps? From your request site; -Band of Brothers is 1st most upvoted series and only has 1 season, 10 eps. A ten hour Saving Pvt. Ryan. - Reacher is 12th most upvoted and each season of that is a self contained story. Season 2 just aired very recently. This show is awesomely exciting, it's as tense and action packed as the Bourne movies. If Jason Bourne was a walking mountain. - Fawlty Towers is 14th most upvoted and only has 2 series, each with 6 episodes. You'd fly through this, 30 min eps. And it is massively beloved - for good reason. After this you'll get lots of requests for John Cleese comedy film 'A Fish Called Wanda' (1988). -Deadwood (HBO's) is 22nd most upvoted, it has 3 seasons then 1 film. This is the greatest Western tv series of all time. Shakespearean in excellence and depth. The town of Deadwood depicted in it was real and the series contains several colorful characters who really existed. Buffalo Bill, 'Calamity' Jane, Marshall Seth Bullock, the complex villain of the show; Al Swearengen (aptly named), who curses more frequently than Joe Pesci on a bad day.

The Sopranos is on Jen's request site, although only 18 votes currently. :/ Ranking it 20th place in most upvoted tv series at the request site. Which is criminal, it's the greatest mafia crime/drama ever. The quality of writing, acting and directing is unsurpassed. And it was revolutionary for future tv productions. Opening the door for epic productions like Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, The Shield, The Walking Dead, etc. Squid Games is there too, it has 10 votes, ranking it around 50th place in most upvoted tv series.

>>130823096

(I'm not sure if I'm playing straight man or Socrates:) So tell us, Jason, just why do you think Sin City is somewhat reminiscent of 300? :-) ----- Short-circuiting this for the benefit of the audience: Both movies are strongly based on graphic novels by Frank Miller, and Miller himself was heavily involved in their production.

ArtemusPrime137

Maybe do the Star Trek Generations movie before taking a break. It was a nice passing of the torch from original series to the next generation. The other star trek movies are post season 3 finale and it’s ultimate resolution anyway. For a new series, you reacted to the movie 12 Monkeys already and they made a series out of it. You’d like it since you’re so into time travel.

TigerMyth

I will freak out! Lol. I got Paramount Plus to follow along with the full cuts. But... if the numbers aren't there and people aren't watching, you need to do what is best for the bottom line.

Eric S
>>130805544

The BBC Sherlock would be cool too. And it’s only 12 episodes and a movie. Good for a short break.

Chris Biebel

For different TV series, I'd suggest either The Prisoner (only 17 episodes, FWIW) or The Twilight Zone (1/2 hour episodes, don't actually have to watch them in any particular order).

Jen Murray
>>130844806

I don't intend to stop watching it, I meant a break for a few weeks possibly. I appreciate that you are invested tho, I will consider this

Kirk Schwenckman

Who would have thought that the movie with multiple people getting decapitated by swords might be the least violent of the week

Randy Aiken

If you go with the dance class, you should first do a reaction to Lord of the Dance starring Michael Flatley

Oh, I love The Prisoner (1967) but it's a very acquired taste. I visited the village in Wales where it was filmed, it was beautiful. No sign of Number 6 though, or Rover. But I did manage to leave. The show has a 100% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes and an 89% averaged score from the audience reviews. Rotten Tomatoes synopsis; The Prisoner (known only as Number Six) is a former government agent who abruptly resigns from his job and has been imprisoned in a beautiful and charming-yet-bizarre and enigmatic community -- a mysterious seaside "village" that is isolated from the mainland by mountains and the sea. Presumably wanted for the top-secret information he knows, Number Six is hunted, yet thwarts his captors at every turn. However, he's still trapped in the village by floating, glowing "rovers," mysterious, balloon-like devices that capture those who try to escape.
