The Giganotosaurus! Boi...she sure is BIGhere are some facts from the internet from the lesser known dinosaur
Bigger than T. rex in length: around 12–13 meters long.
One of the heaviest theropods, estimated up to 8 tons.
Its skull was up to 1.6 meters long, basically a biological guillotine.
Unlike T. rex’s bone‑crushing bite, Giga had a slashing bite, built to tear chunks off prey.
Lived in what is now Argentina, about 98 million years ago.
Likely hunted huge sauropods, because why snack when you can feast.
Its name literally means “giant southern lizard.”
Paleontologists think it may have used pack‑style tactics, not full coordination, but opportunistic group hunting.
Its brain was… let’s say not huge, but its olfactory bulbs were, meaning it had a strong sense of smell.
It wasn’t the fastest sprinter, but it had long legs for endurance, like a murder‑marathon runner.
