Very good reaction. If you rewatch the first episode from minute 20, you'll notice that Princess Rose was already part of Shadow Garden at that point. She appears with her back to the camera, her hair short, and her sword.

HYPE! Now season 2!!

Tony

This is one of the only times I can think of that the anime did the fight scene better than the manga/light novel. Truly my favourite episode of Eminence in the shadows

Therianthrope means "beast person": Delta, Zeta (the cat girl you like. Really looking forward to more of her. As an LN reader, she is crazy and I love her). Linguistic Rambling: English is practically all loan words if you go back far enough (which makes it hilarious when English-speakers mock Japanese for its loan words) and can be broken down into their roots. In this case, therianthrope is from Greek: therion (beast) and anthropos (man). (For those wondering, ~60% of English words are from Latin (often via an intermediary like French), ~25% Germanic, and ~5% Greek. If you ever don't recognize an English word, you can try a guess from its similarity to one of these. Of course, that still leaves ~10% as an unrecognizable hodgepodge.)

11:30 - I think it really is just that, her frustration over her own situation coupled with what she views as villains and cults running around killing people and destroying cities, while she lacks the power to stop them. From her point of view, both Shadow Garden and the Cult are the bad guys.

wiski

22:42 - Well, at least that's what THEY think, there is no way Cid could just be messing around for his own entertainment and they assume he's knowingly doing things that benefit Shadow Garden on purpose.... right?

stuhlpenner

This is not a YouTube comment, so...: "Me next".. really? :-D

stuhlpenner

therianthrope: I think it's something about man-animal, so probably beastfolk, not too sure though

lasher840

Shadow just casually making it dayytime.

LolLolowaty

You typed in ep19, not ep20

Dethrox

Shadow casually showing Iris he dont need to run.. he can hold her entire Kingdom hostage :D wont forget my own reaction to that white screen with my finger up saying n-no ? shadow ? maybe this isnt the way ? xDD btw some people say that the kid version of shadow (thats like watching the screen in his mind) didnt say atomic but ''yamero'' as ''stop it'' implaying he actually wanted to blow the kindgom but at last second he change it to only blow up the sky and making a nice sunny day^^ not entirely sure if true but lipreading the child does kinda show yamero.. Cant wait for more Peak in season 2 !! and hopefuly we get the movie this year :))

Nick

Reasons for Iris to hate shadow: - He nuked her city for no reason (so much damage) - They were framed for kidnapping, murder and other crimes during the school arc - They operate independently and destroy property all the time - Shadow leveled buildings with people in it (but of course clashing with beatrix) - Did I say he nuked her city? and also ego plays a part.

LolLolowaty

Idea for future vids: in season 2, kagejitsu is after every episode, so you can make combo and watch episode, as well as kagejitsu after that in one video

I'm so Glad you enjoyed this anime so much i'm looking forward to seeing your reaction to season 2 some much

SUCH a good episode. I joined your patreon because I liked your YouTube vids and saw that you started watching this show and Ive been waiting for you to see this episode since. Shadow truly was.... Emminent. 🥲😤 Can't wait for your reactions to Season 2, it's a BLAST. 9:28 is the one of the most direct things he ever says. Cid Kagenou is essentially a mood rather than who he actually is. It's not fake per say, but Shadow is the core of his sense of self. What has Iris so pressed about Shadow and why she breaks tf down when he leaves isnt BECAUSE hes stronger than her, it's rooted in how powerless she feels KNOWING that someone as powerful as him exists in her kingdom, but having no clue his goals or intentions. She's been held on a pedestal her whole life due to her strength but never allowed to actually use it to protect her kingdom like she wanted to, but now is under the immense pressure of (unfair as youve pointed out) public expectation and the incomprehensible "threat" that is Shadow.

Abura-bo

Therianthrope is reference to Beast-kin such as the Neko

David Sanderson-Gull

Same as Dredgen Colin: "SUCH a good episode. I joined your patreon because I liked your YouTube vids and saw that you started watching this show and Ive been waiting for you to see this episode since. Shadow truly was.... Emminent. 🥲😤 Can't wait for your reactions to Season 2, it's a BLAST. "

Neila Reacts~

is it in the same episode like at the end or a separate thing? if it s separate then i think i will just watch by myself tbh

Dredgen Colin

You'll enjoy it alot, they play up and focus on alot of the parts of shadow that make you cackle

SleepyOldBear

6:55 The pure disrespect of sheathing the sword and going back to the crowbars is mad 🤣 Cid is a menace Great to hear you’re reacting to season 2. Loving your content, keep it up!

Neila Reacts~

ikrrr xDD imagine getting beat up by crowbars instead of a sword as a knight of a kingdom LMAO

Ryno

The girl on the boat is Zeta, she’s one of the 7 shadows. Also, Therianthrope are beast people.

Ramdom ice

I. WANT. MORREEEEEE!!!!!

RandomNJguy

It's separate, in S1 of kagejitsu it's chibis of the girls slice of life type 2 minute episodes with a little more insight into the girls, S2 kagejitsu the episodes kinda give more context to the end of the TEIS S2 episode. You could probably just make a video after season 2 of watching all of S2 kagejitsu probably be like 20ish minutes of content. Only really kagejitsu S2EP12 after the ending of S2 is storyish important to watch as it leads into the movie. IMO best of kagejitsu S1/S2 is more of Eta, "V"

Saiden

You've heard of Werewolves right? It's derived/linked by the Greek word Lycanthrope, basically wolf-humans. Lycan=wolf, anthrope=human. (So many people "anthropomorphize" objects!) The word Therion basically means wild beast, so "Therianthrope" means "beast-humans". Apologies for the rough explanation but this is the quickest way I can think of. ;)

AinaFei

Dude i did the same, her reactions so good:p

AinaFei

i love the fact then you watch Iris Beatrix fight vs Cid, he parry Beatrix all the time and Iris gets the beating i like tho think Cid doing it just to make her realise and get out of her god mode already, me honestly at this this i point i think Alexia is so much stronger then Iris(her older sister), Alexia realised soon enought how stron Shadow is and tried to tell it to her sister but shes lik "im OP so all good. Even ebing ignored Alexia just kept training....strong mind srong character,no?

AinaFei

Sry Neila but not sry, "and why?" then i saw that anime i watched it like 5-10 times myself, so no worries :)

RathZa

I love this episode and think it's one of the best Season Finales I've watched. So many things that happened over the course of the show with the characters get to shine here. And there are so many different decisions. Even for the Background Characters we just briefly met. Also the title with "Advent of the Demon". Who is the Demon here? Most obviously it would be Shadow, as he is called like that after the incident. But what about the others? Iris is breaking down after adhering to everyones expectations around her. How will she go forward? Alexia is not faced anymore, just has a goal. She doesn't even look at the atomic magic. Her conviction stays strong. (Still best character). Orianna now as part of Shadow garden even getting the Number 666. Sherry in her quest for revenge. The Theme of being reborn is with all of them. And that's the story without talking about the badass fighting.

Blissfull Wulf

It was already day, he just got rid of the storm clouds.

vardic d

I love how Iris never really gets taken seriously in this fight. She comes in with an artifact sword [borrowed power] and tries to get in on Beatrix and Shadow's fight, but Shadow just keeps handing her the disrespect. Like he could have killed her so many times, but instead just keeps punishing her for daring to think she can fight on his and Beatrix's level. Like wake up Iris, you're not in the top strength category. They constantly keep leaving Iris behind as they fight and she's running to keep up with them. Take the hint.

The Force

Gotta love when those inside thoughts just leap out of your throat, glad that didn't happen in this episode, anyways me ne- I mean next episode!

NotFunny

Omg so that's what Lycanrock's name means
