Guinaur

Ah, the final scene with Geld the Orc Disaster always gets me in the feels every time 🥹

Guinaur

Haha and as an Afrikaans native speaker, the name Geld also always gets me 🤣

Freitag

I think every show that is able to makes you invested enough to become emotional must be top Tier. No matter if it is sadness happines or hate

Anima Libera

with that final shot of rimuru and shion i am always shocked that she doesnt have a nipslip XD

Argon

Fun fact: in the German dub, Geld's name is Gerudo, which is a nod to The Legend of Zelda. The Gerudo in LoZ is an amazon tribe that lives in the desert. The Orcs' homeland also became a desert after a disaster.

Sometimes i would advise while asking a question also said it shouldnt be answered in the comments cause spoilers.. (i know common sense exist but not completely) :D some people just assumed you asked the question and go wrote it down.. you are not yet supposed to know how demon lord is crated :D thats a big spoiler^^

stuhlpenner

Is "Geld" in Afrikaans "money" too?

Guinaur

Haha yeah "geld" in Afrikaans is also "money". Probably the same root. Afrikaans is a Dutch offshoot, but it stole a fair number of words from other languages as well 😅

Jargo

You don't have to apologize for crying. It was cute that you got that into it.

Slothful Sins

Wasn't Ganon, the man infamous for his pig? Boar? Form, a rare male Gerudo. So that's one more point to add

Neila Reacts~

this would be a good advice but that would mean any question that comes to mind i would have to keep saying no spoilers and it would make me not want to ask questions anymore.

Twohearts Off

I love how Rimuru is "fair" even when killing his enemies, like how the orc lord wasn't evil so Rimuru gave him a clean sendoff and reassuring him about not taking it out on his people.

The Force

The way I've seen most reactor's handle this is to say at the beginning as part of the intro something to the effect of: "Remember, any questions I ask are speculative and I don't want answers unless I specifically say 'actually answer that'". Especially when dealing with anime, you have a lot of passionate people, many of which are teenagers even if you try and focus on 18+ audiences because only their parents can stop them, and passionate people *especially* younger feel like they're engaging with you by answering questions without realizing that the answer is a spoiler.

The Force

What Ganon is varies but yeah in OoT and one other early version (I can't remember what) he's a rare male born Gerudo. In the first point in the resurrection cycle which, Skyward Sword, Ganon is born from Malice (or Malice becomes Ganon? idr exactly been *awhile*) and it's implied that he is basically the manifestation of violent strength and conquest. This is one way they retroactively explain him being a rare male instead of female. They also imply at one point that every male born from Gerudo are inheritors of the Strength piece of the triforce but that is a bit more looser and closer to fanon from my memory.

The Force

Thankfully I see no spoilers yet so IF you see someone trying to explain Demon Lord's *don't* read about it, massive spoilers. As for getting emotional I know a lot of people are worried about being sad cause they feel it dampens the spirits of the viewer, but when the emotion is natural to what's on the screen it's not like that. It's a moment of connection with your audience far more people would rather you be honest with yourself and let your emotions be free then they would want you bottling it up for some false front of "joy" let yourself cry

Mikki_Frost

No need to apologize for crying, when a reactor let's their feelings just go along with the show and show it openly is the BEST. The reactors i follow who are just completely open about how a show makes them feel are always the ones that feels most authentic. So don't hide your feelings, let them out! The fact that i could hear it in your voice just instantly made me feel like "Yupp, she get's it, the show has hooked her" and it's the best feeling ever when it happens with a viewers favourite shows.

JitterBones

This was a wonderful episode.

wiski

25:04 - They 'enhanced' Shion for the anime in comparison to the manga, and there is another character later on I can think of that they sexualized more than in the manga, I assume you'll comment on it when you see it.

Neila Reacts~

yeah i m still new to the whole reacting thingy and just being myself but idk if some things that i do or say could ruin the episode so i just overthink xDD

Neila Reacts~

i feel like they do the enhancement for most animes tbh

The Force

Generally speaking, from my perspective as someone who watches a lot of reactors, the most important thing about reactions is that it feels like I'm watching with a friend, even if we're not actually friends nor know each other at all, so the more genuine the reaction the better. It doesn't hurt for there to be some caution but if you're just completely stunting your emotion/reaction out of fear of ruining people's experience that'll turn off a lot of the types of people you generally want as a reactor in your audience. The type who watch for *you* not just the thing you're watching. Important both for future proofing as you can convert that audience most efficiently to another type of content if Reacting becomes too strenuous or boring, but also because they tend to be the most considerate and friendly of the crowd. Also people who don't like emotion or more liable to whine in youtube comments which just boosts the algo :P

In a way, Rimuru "talk-no-jutsu'ed" Geld. Orc Disaster Geld was adamantly resisting Rimuru's Predator until Rimuru told him that he'd carry his and his brethren's sins upon his shoulders so he'd have nothing to worry about. Not that Rimuru wouldn't have won ultimately without doing so, but it was a really close call.

NotFunny

Neila is such an emotional little bean. So cute!
