The Empire

This is not stated in the anime but "Abelion sheep" is the mages in the early episode of overlord that summoned angels. Yes... Demiurge skinned them off alive again and again to be ingredients for the Nazarick's low tier parchments

Kirby745i

Yep, that's why Demiurge was confused for a second when Ainz asked what the beasts were called (Ainz thought they were literal sheep)

If you're curious about this look up overlord: happy farm on the Internet.

Gargantua is the giant that you saw throw the cube shaped rock. He is the guardian of the fourth floor. He is like a machine, he doesn't have a mind of his own, only follows orders

apoc9

If I remember he said "use of fear is to be limited" in Japanese. Subs are just inaccurate in this case.

Ketanak

there is a rule in Nazarick: No gardian can EVER go in the 8th Floor, that is why the gardians met Virus for the first time,, and also episode 1 during the vow of loyalty Albedo said everyone is here but Gargantua and the 8th floor guardian. Virus because its forbidden for it to go out 8th floor and gargantua because he wouldn't fit the place with its size.

Pharos Dusklight

The gigantic golem is that throw that huge square rock is called Gargantua

Lost

If I understood it correctly, the "sheep walking on two legs" are human. Fairly sure they're skinning humans, aka sheep, for parchment. In simpler terms, they're farming human skin and using it for scrolls

KingPower03

Hi, dont hate me please, but the playlist for this series is wrong order again. Oh and btw, something to Remember is that this is not the classic Isekai , we are not the heroes, we are undead, common with evil beings.

The Force

This is kind of a spoiler, though they never directly state it in show, by this point in the LN it's also not direct about what they are, though you're meant to start questioning it

The Force

Victim* because they are a willing Victim since their super ability allows them to suicide to provide a crazy bonus to allies

The Force

Part of the reason, which is never explained in the show, for Ainz's grand display of power to instill fear is so that when his appointed, Cocytus, takes over and shows kindness they're more grateful and more willing to submit because it comes off as him being forced to be cruel and that if they adhere to Cocytus then they'll be treated kindly but if they rebelled they'd face the wrath of Ainz. Slowly overtime they make it clear Ainz is benevolent. The LN was DEEEENSE but great for nerds like myself. I also love Ainz as a character, while the Overlords often overestimate his intelligence, it's not crazy off base, he IS incredibly smart just not truly omniscient as they perceive him to be. The combination plays off really well especially against people like Shadow who's kinda dumb but gets treated that way, and Rimuru who's very middle of the road and relies on Great Sage, though does figure out some things himself. Just interesting to see how different authors can take the same trope, with different types of characters, and make it work.

Lost

I'm speculating, as the show heavily implies it. Demiurge questions the word "beasts" and then follows up with "two-legged sheep from the holy kingdom". At 6:40 in this episode. The fact they're used for scrolls is said directly before this, so while they don't outright say they're farming humans, it seems far more likely than them farming literal two-legged sheep

SomeNotTakenName

So sad how much stuff that was in the LNs was left out, but I get it. They had to compress 3 LNs into a single season, so "flavour text" had to be left out. And let me present a justification for Ainz's smarts which I personally quite like. We saw his emotions being suppressed and his growing indifference to the living as a consequence of him being an undead, and since his build is very RP-focused, you may argue that in the new world the stuff he picked out because it fit his RP is also influencing him subconsciously.

Philotes

Well, the King that was with Gazef (king Ramposa III) is a good person but a shit king IMO. He almost got Gazef killed, because he was unable to deal with the nobles. Ainz probably shouldn't be learning from him.

Neila Reacts~

the anime hasnt shown me he is a shit king so i think telling me IS a spoiler

Philotes

I am sorry. They already did show that the King sent Gazef into a trap without his best weapons, because he was pressured by the Nobles, which is why I mentioned it. He apologizes for it in Episode 1 of Season 2. But I guess on it's own, that doesn't make it clear. Also, do you consider things that are revealed in the LN during the events of an episode of the Anime, but aren't yet revealed in the Anime spoilers? This is usually just some background info, like the state of the Kingdom.

Neila Reacts~

things happening in the light novel and not being shown in that episode isnt really a big deal for me since that is extra info but stuff that get revealed later on in the anime, are

Crawlingchaos03

Demi: "huh beast... why didn't I think of that". I don't know why I find that funny haha. I know it's what Demiurge is probably thinking lol. Thank you Demiurge for helping our boy Cocytus

Neeepis

Crazy to me that amalee voiced the "impregnate me" line in the english dub🤣

Ahmed El Fakih

I always forget that the one here is Gazef, and the slime series dwarf king is Gazel hshaha

Dethrox

Nah pretty sure thats why its called Victim :P

Filius_Tonitrui

Wait a minute....Ainz quoted Jesus with the guild catchphrase. John 15:13
