Yeah I never understood why they split this arc between the end of season 1 and season 2. It continues till episode 4 of s2.

Guns are allowed in Japan, but they're very heavily restricted. Private citizens are not allowed to own handguns. In a rural area like Jiji's village, you'd be able to own a hunting rifle, but only after passing a lot of tests. It's not like America where you can generally walk into a store and buy one with just your ID.

Well to be fair, they barely cover the next arc in this episode. Its at most an teaser for whats to come. Yeah would've nice to have this and season 2 be together as one season but thats just how animes have been. Typically 12 for ease of entrance for people picking them up.

It doesnt have the hype action that DanDaDan does, but if youre looking for another downright adorable romcom anime to pick up, you neeeed to check out "You and I are Polar Opposites." It's so so so so SO comfy and funny. (You absolutely gotta watch the dub, the voice actors are all PHENOMENAL, but way more importantly, they dont just translate it literally like the vast majority of dubs do, they keep the intent of the dialogue, but convert the usual "jokes that are lost on non JP viewers" into some of the funniest dialogue ive heard in a show in YEARRSSS. Its probably the most universally praised dub since Cyberpunk EDGE RUNNERS.)

i think leaving it on a cliffhanger is to make more people interested and to see how much interest the first season got. that s what i m assuming tho xD

The cliffhanger for this season was absolutely diabolical. That being said, can't wait for you to start season 2. It has some of my favorite episodes and in my opinion, the best action scenes.

always found this to be a really bad end point for season 1, this isnt a cliffhanger, its a unfinished season

I was watching this during the simulcast, and I nearly dropped it after this episode. I'm glad I came back to it, but the cliff hanger here was so uncomfortable. From what I understand though, they hadn't intended to have such a long break between cours, it only happened because of production delays.
