As a Slime Nerd... I think you're misunderstanding the barrier thing and that isn't your fault. Anime does a muddy job being clear at times. There are 2 barriers that went up at the same exact time. Myulan's Anti Magic Barrier which served to cut their communications with Rimuru, but it also prevents the use of Magic based Skills, and then there's the Church's Prison Field which purifies Magicules and weakens Monsters who are made up of said Magicules. Myulan's set up of the barrier got the most emphasis while the church's was shown for like 2 seconds, making it easy to miss and blame her for both. I'm convinced they both didn't even know the other was gonna happen. Prison Field is what the Archbishop whispered to King Edmaris about. If Falmuth set up a Prison Field against Rimuru I can't imagine it working. Prison Field isn't something they can keep using anyway as it takes hundreds of mages from the church at 4 different points to maintain the one on tempest. Hinata's Holy Field which is an evolved version of Prison Field was partially resisted by Rimuru. The fact that Hinata can use a better version of something that takes hundreds of mages so casually with no setup is insane. Clayman is indeed a "Demon Lord" but Demon Lord is a position. "True Demon Lord" is an evolution. Both Rimuru and Clayman are Demon Lord Seeds and can both potentially sprout with the necessary nourishment and become a True Demon Lord. Holy yap, sorry.

The Force

Rimuru and Ainz are actually both pragmatistz but Rimuru is more benevolent and trusting and Ainz is more selfish and cautious. Remember, Rimuru fought his way out of Veldora's cave, killed the dire wolf but accepted the pack, openly fought the orcs and the Orc Lord. He comes off as pacifistic because he's relatively kind and forgiving and with Great Sage for reason support, able to see past things like Myulen's attempt to goad him into punishing her. Rimuru is, to me, a great example of 'when a good man goes to war' or 'when those who wish not to fight are forced into it'. They would prefer not be there, but if you're going to force them, or if they have to, they're not holding back.

When I got to this part I was only watching the anime, and somehow I understood it right lol Then I started reading the manga, but idk if it's bc of the web page I was using or if the manga was discontinued, but they didn't upload chapters anymore. Rn I want to read the LN, but there are 3 things holding me back; 1. I'd want to read it from the beginning, 2. I wanted to watch the current season before doing anything, and 3. Time, I simply don't have time xd

I guess painful was a strong word to use and realise the contradiction but my point is that every reacts channel does it eventually which just leads to large wait in between some shows, and yeah obviously I never said you should stick to one at a time that would just be stupid for your channel + growth. sorry this is just dragging on your amazing keep up the great work

nah, u r all good! i can see where u r coming from tbh so dont worry. Usually if i had more time, i would be posting 10 episodes of each anime each day LMAO but rn i m kinda cooked taking care of my family and new tiers help a lot in this moment. if i was comfortable then i would just try to finish one anime before jumping to another one BUT the animes i m watching, u have to understand that they r like SUPER long so more than 3 seasons which woud be too much fous on them rather tan the ones that are only 1 season that r super quick to finish.

I always felt that Rimiru wasn't as worried about the others helping fight against the army as he was not wanting them to see him consume 10k or more human souls.

I think the barrier she put up just cut their connection with Rimuru, it was the kingdom who put up an anti monster barrier which made them weaker. Yes she's partly to blame but she's not the cause of the deaths

Her barrier did also make them weaker, and unable to use magic for the most part but, not so much that if the other barrier hadn't been there that they couldn't defend themselves. Aside from maybe Shuna who to the best of my knowledge is pretty physically weak, and relies on magic, the others would have been able to still fight off the Otherworlders/knights since they can hold their own in a fight purely with brute strength/skills which don't seem to be as affected as magic is in an Anti-Magic Area barrier.
