Praising the sun isn't a temporary debuff that happens every six hours. It would've been a permanent curse or effect that you get if you stay close to the item for too long!

The Force

I'm sure it's been explained by now on youtube but since it never happened on Patreon I'll explain here to prevent future comers from explaining it. Totally not so I have a reason to comment or anything: Fray is the same Pathway as Dally who was a Spirit Medium. They specialize in spirits and the dead (which is why he's here on a Wraith hunting mission). The Shadow which entered him wasn't trying to possess him, it was freezing him to death, killing him by sapping warmth. The animation we saw of his heart glowing and erupting was his Beyonder power reacting to an invading Spirit creature to essentially repel and destroy it. It's like if you try and freeze water versus trying to freeze oil. The water might freeze over and die, but the oil with just a spark can ignite and burn away the cold.

The Force

Also notably only happened if they spent more than six hours in the presence of the emblem at once, which is why they went outside to rest and rotated every two hours so no one was at risk of that xD

The Force

Also idk I laugh everytime you think Azik - his professor who's known him for maybe 4 years - would be able to identify it's not Klein but not Melissa or Benson, his sister or brother xD
