First time watching this movie too. Oddly we don't get movies like these lately. Following Anton Chigurh his mindset and what he does. Sometimes, evil just follows his path. I liked that this movie was mostly in Texas, and everyone having their guns with them is oddly normal unlike today. Has anybody seen a movie called Four Brothers 2005?

I know I'm late, but I believe it's left up to the viewer on whether or not Anton killed the wife. There are many who believe he spared her for not calling the coin, and standing up to him. When you look at the other characters he talks with, they still sort of play his game, or accept the terms, or act out in a way that is expected. My theory is that because she never calls out the coin, he can't deliver the verdict, thus sparing her life while keeping to his code.
