I think they both did such a good job especially nikky. I love the way she fake cries like someone that ones to cry but dont really know how when she is the demon to form sympathy. but such a great show

One of the most interesting things about the One Wish Willow the director confirmed is that they aren't a monkey paw, meaning that the wish won't get twisted on its own. The Willow seems to read the INTENT behind the wish. Bear THINKS he wants Nikki's love, but really, he just wants to have sex with her and control her, basically treating her like an object. Since the wish, at its core, was so twisted and evil, the Willow responded in kind. That's why Ian's wish, which was just kind of a flippant and dismissive, ended up fine. And that also begs the question: how would the Fake Nikki's wish play out? Was it made as an act of pure desperate love, or because she's wishing Bear to have the same kind of love she has for him, obsessive to the point of stripping away her entire identity, is that also an act of malice, even if she THINKS it's love? Lots of things to take away from this movie, one of my favorite this year!

And since it was brought up in discord chat, I agree that Bear and Jimmy from Mouthwashing pretty much sit in the same boat. Jimmy is more narcissistic, where at least Bear seems to know, at his core, that what he's doing is fucked up, just too selfish to do anything about it. Bear has a very similar thing to Jimmy that he just constantly lies and deflects any blame or responsibility. I see Bear's 'what would be so bad about being with me' line the same way I see Jimmy twisting the 'our worst moments don't make us monsters' line. There comes a point where push comes to shove for them to take any degree of accountability for their actions, and they immediately run away in the opposite direction.

Fun fact: The moment where Bear pussies out and tries to vomit out the pills wasn’t originally planned by the Director/writer but it was infact a decision Bear’s actor made and the Director/Writer thought it was a great idea that he kept it.

I loved this movie. I think you’d really like the Ready Or Not movies. Both of them are really fucking good. Less scary and more deranged and evil rich people bloodbath shit. Interesting plot devices too imo. Def recommend for future movies to watch!!
