Powder your nose means to go to the bathroom. My interpretation of Azuma's response was that if she didn't have the death games, she would have lost the one part of her life that allows her to escape from reality. It's the one thing holding her together.

that also doesnt make sense. she is complaining about not being girly enough and then talks about how doing the games where u r killing others is supposed to make her escape from the reality of her not being girly? LMAO huh

I got the impression she felt that because she was more of a tomboy, she didn't feel accepted because she did not meeting the traditional characteristics of a girl (a 'girly girl). Being true to herself was causing considerable pain and frustration. As she refused to change who she was and accept she was okay just as she is, it was easier for her to take part in death games. She hasn't found people who will accept her for who she is. It's not a rational decision, and she knows that, but emotionally it feels easier to her.

i think u r not understanding what i mean xD emotionally it still does not make sense to go play a game where u risk ur LIFE just because people dont accept u. How would that help u in any way emotionally? obviously we all know it s not a rational decision but i m finding it hard to understand how the death game would help her cope with THAT specific issue

Oh I see. Yeah I totally agree it doesn't make sense, it's a ridiculous way to avoid the situation. It's a very extreme form of escapism. I dont think any of the characters playing more than a few games are mentally healthy. I can see why she might view this as her only escape, given her desperation.

12:04 I believe in the Scrap Building arc (the 10th game), Mishiro lost her right arm from the wolf, so I think this is supposed to imply her current right arm is a prosthetic (we saw at the end of the arc that she was brought into a room with puppet-like arms to fix her up).
