Yes, they are implying that the “goddess” that the mercenaries worship is the green primordial demon. There are 7, you’ve been officially introduced to 5 so far. And they all have a corresponding color. Diablo: Noir/black Testarossa: Blanc/white Ultima: Violet/violet Carrera: Jaune/yellow And Guy Crimson: Rouge/red These are the ones at the very top of the demon hierarchy. They all have their lines too. I wouldn’t call them descendants, but there are a bunch of demons of their colors under them. I’m pretty sure that Venom, the younger demon that kept attacking Diablo is of the black line. As is Beretta, the greater demon that Rimuru put into a golem to serve Ramiris.

Leon and Chloe have different family names, Cromwell and Aubert, can't recall the LN information but I think they grew up together as friends and she considers him as her older brother even though they're not related. Since they were together when they were transported to this world, Leon was convinced she came along with him which is why he's been searching for him, while Chloe likely didn't consider Leon was also transported so that's why she never brought him up.

I guessed out mostly everything what happened in second half of this season because of opening but what ever its still great and I'm glad to be proven right. If they don't frick up the finale of this season next part could be really on par with second season. So far I really enjoyed second part of this season and also your reaction. I will talk more when you see rest. You understand most of lore Neila, but because you watch so many anime at once and jump from one to another you miss some parts but its fun to see your reaction when you figured something out so it's entertaining to watch you trying to figuring it out. I love this anime how it's structured. Fights are just that cherry on top, how all puzzle piecess fit together is most fun figuring out about this anime. I find Slime and Mushoku this season very interesting in collecting piecess of information and forming a true picture. Mushoku does it better then slime, but slime is more open and fun about it. I really enjoyed both this season.

Granville never hated demons, he, like Maribel, wants humanity to govern itself. But when Maria died, her last word bindeds him to her last wish. That what he was doing, instead of actively governing and fighting, he "leads" like a shepperd as Maria asked. Then losing Maribel, which shared his ambition and also looked like Maria was the last punch to make him snap. Also his wedding to Isabella was political, she was a princess of another country while his true love is Maria.

i think he does hate the fact that like humans cant really govern over demons with how strong they r, which is why i say he hates them in a way. If it wasnt for luminous giving the option of coexisting with humans, his first option is to eliminate every demon on sight. oh i definitely missunderstood the whole isabella and maria relationship then, thanks!

I'm pretty sure Isabella was actually Gran and Maria's daughter. The wedding said it was supposed to be between some noble's son Rolf and Isabella of Seltrozzo which Gran was in charge of. (see subs at 15:30)

Yeah, Granville was always like SUPER pro-human, and anti Demon Lord specifically. He also doesn't really like monsters but, seems to for the most part leave them alone since they don't really usually band together on a national scale. Now, after almost 2000 years of letting that hate for Demon Lords fester, Mariabelle comes around, and is kind of the answer he has needed for a 100% united humanity. Then she is killed "by Rimuru", a Demon Lord, and monster to boot, who leads a whole monster nation, AND is actively engaged in human politics. Tempest is in a way, everything that Granville hates all at once, and now what Maria said to him all those years ago is coming to a head, and its gonna be one nasty zit to pop.

Yeah Maribell was like... 10. All of the stuff Granville did was well before her and hellived 1700 years doing it. Fighting against demon lords and monters who, until Rimiru came along and started *forcing* cooperation through his power, would use humans as playthings, cattle, or worse. Demons, monsters, these aren't just "humans but different". We see the nature of demons especially during Diablo's "recruitment drive" they kill their most trusted lieutenants and use violence as language. On top of that Rimuru had to get help for his justice system explicitly because even the civilized monsters in his land still might get violent and refuse law and order if the person passing it is too weak. I'm a pretty chill guy but even I'd be distrusting of monters and outright hostile of humans in those circumstances xD

downside of being a hero is you save everyone even if they are evil. also being racists and having blind trust for one of the worst races to trust in fiction will 100% end in nothing good happening. hence why maria got killed. never trust anyone to the point you fully let your guard down. always have some mistrust for everyone. never to the point of hate or no trust tho. thats a horrid way to live.

Yeah, Johann was afraid of Mariabell, but he is indeed truly loyal to Granville. This is likely why he never showed any sign of being controlled by Mariabell. My guess is that Granville forbid Mariabell from using Greed on the 5 members of his council.
