Hugs and Lezars, children of Riffing!

Did you know the actor who plays Rem, Jack Mulcahy, is a multi-award winning actor?

You wouldn't really know it from this, but please enjoy this episode of Talkin' RiffTrax about our latest release anyway, Creating Rem Lezar.

You can also download this episode of Talkin' RiffTrax right here.

Matt Warren

Bill's relentless need to sell us on "it's short" is really appreciated. Tells me I'm in for a weird time.

Abigail M

Rem Lezar is absolutely a new fave. Also, I was weirdly proud of myself for thinking “this sounds exactly like Bicycle Safety Camp” a few seconds before the riff came along saying the same thing.

Lori Gentry

As I was watching Mike, Bill and Kevin explain things, I was wondering what weird, tone-deaf, spaz directed this. Then it all became clear when I saw the director's annoying/badly edited/intolerable head floating around😏

Jim

the songs were catchy at least

Travis Arnold

I'm DELIGHTED that Mike mentioned Everything is Terrible!, because that was exactly how I first found out about this movie many years ago! XD

Bob Hedges

I’m assuming that you guys know that Rem Lezar has been released on Blu-Ray by the Found Footage Festival. The FFF have had Jack Mulcahy on to discuss it at length and he’s a super-interesting guy: he’s affable, a member of Mensa, and that’s his own hair in this thing. You can find the interview easily online, and I found the interview FAR more interesting than Rem Lezar itself. As for me, the only conceivable way I’ll ever see this again is by watching the riffed version (that “Tick” riff alone sold me)!

JIM B

I anticipate this one beautifully unfolding as if an ailing Stan Lee fell asleep during an off-off-off-off Broadway musical, and this was his (mercifully short) fever dream. Thanks guys.

John Chadwick

I'm almost afraid to watch this post-riff video knowing there's a good chance I'll hear even a few seconds of any one of those songs again.

Mark Cappelletty

Um, is CANDYMAN the movie that Kevin talking about? Because both the original and the remake don't have any Rem Lazar-like effects at all!

Stephen

I think he might have meant Lawnmower Man. That's the only one that makes sense.
