Greetings, Dear Traxians!

We had a last-minute Hangin' Out livestream yesterday, and we're pleased to present you with that recording.

Did you know James Nguyen made a third Birdemic movie? It's true! While we had heard that the second one, Birdemic 2: The Resurrection was much too tongue-in-cheek and winking for us to take seriously enough for a commentary, we did learn recently that Birdemic 3: Sea Eagle (or Seagull, depending on who's saying it) was basically a re-do of the first movie. Upon finding that out, we shouted "Woohoo!" while pumping our fists in the air.

So ahead of this release coming March 7, we present to you this lively 30-minute discussion on all things BIrdemic 1 and 3. Enjoy!

I still think you should take a stab at 2. If it really is self-aware as people claim; it’s aware in all the wrong ways. If Hobgoblins 2 is worthy of riffing, then so is Birdemic 2.

Sorry Damien, not Darius...and I found his, uh, album...Damien Carter, Freedom, released in 2007. Not sure I'm brave enough to actually buy it.

Ok, last post...Damien's album is available on Spotify. I'm listening now and its...whelming. There are interview snippets, and 8 songs. He only "raps" on Hangin' Out... the rest of the songs he sings. He has a decent voice, but the songs are just not very exciting, and there are head-scratching moments with some of the harmonies. 3 out of 10

I just looked at the IMDB page and noticed it looks like James Nguyen has "Birdemic The Musical" listed in pre-production, plus a "Birdemic 4" listed on his website... Wonder if these will see the light of day?

Mr. Nguyen has basically made the same movie five times and bless him for it. And since you guys brought up Paradise Motel, I would like to note that I have come to think of it as the spiritual sequel to “Manos.”

How you guys describe Birdemic 2 and 3 literally remind me of the Dracula 2000 series' writing! Lol. The sequels ignore a lot of continuity of the first. Dracula is strapped to a chair almost *the whole time* in 2, and somehow becomes Rutger Hauer in 3. The Elizabeth character literally drives the sequel, but is relegated to an extended cameo in the third film as a super-depressed vampire that mostly just looks disappointed ...
