Talkin' RiffTrax: BIRDEMIC 3 (Patreon)

Greetings, Traxians! Erik here.

The third (and final???) film in the Birdemic trilogy has finally arrived on RiffTrax! Granted, we skipped the one in the middle, which much like Highlander 2 is really okay to skip. Here's more from our synopsis:

If there were a Mount Rushmore of core RiffTrax movies, Birdemic would absolutely be one of them. Also, instead of a mountain, our Rushmore would be sculpted from Utz cheese balls and kept in an abandoned workroom on the grounds of what used to be Pirates World. True prestige!

[Editor's note: We have an Essentials collection for this very thing!]

Moving on.... this threequel has it all:

A leading man who’s somehow stiffer than Rod! Long silent walks! Disjointed conversations about the environment with total strangers! A song from the man who sang “Hanging Out With My Family”’! Long awkward dates! And, of course, the thing everyone comes to a Birdemic film for: lots of driving and parking!

Oh yeah, and there are some bird attacks or whatever. They come pretty late in the movie, and honestly kind of get in the way of discussions about the benefits of brain pills, real estate sales, as well as a wildfire that never appears on screen.

And if you’re wondering whether Alan Bagh, the man who played Rod, had time to show up and be in the movie: shockingly, he was available!

The writers call it "a bizarrely fun return to form" and we'll let the guys talk more about it in this video. Enjoy and then get the full riff right here. And take an extra 5% off using the coupon code SLRPNLS - just for Traxians!

Check out the amazing artwork by Nina Matsumoto - available on lots of different merch over on our Threadless store including shirts, prints and rugs! We love a good homage over here, and we're sure James Nguyen would approve.

Lastly, congrats to our Ultra Traxian Nathan - as the author of our favorite TraxBox Challenge caption for the below image. (Caption below that.)

"The news sure seems terrible. At least I have my friends to comfort me!"

Congrats, Nathan!

Yours in fixing it in post,

-Erik
