Hey there, Traxians!

Yesterday, our Super and Ultra Traxians watched our wriffers on a live Zoom webinar while they chatted about one of our (surprisingly so) favorite things in recent memory: GrimTrax! We all knew it was special, but the reaction from folks was so incredible that we knew we'd have to revisit it someday. And that day is coming soon!

Mike, Bill, Conor and Sean talk about whether this new installment of the GrimTrax series is even MORE GRIM than the first one, and give a little sneak peek into what horrors of existence you can expect when GRIMTRAX RETURNS! Coming to RiffTrax.com on Friday, January 16.

Enjoy! You can watch in the player above and download through the Attachments section below.

Wahoo!

Kevin Kordis

I recognize your description of The Finishing Line. Has a very British folk horror feel to it. I hope for your next Grimtrax outing you tackle Apaches, probably the most notorious British safety short in existence. The Day I Died was I believe the grimmest short you did prior to Grimtrax (still find it difficult to rewatch). Also still can’t quite believe The Death of Richie wasn’t released as a Grimtrax feature like Virus.

Warren "Potsy" Weber. It's been...FIFTY years but IIRC, Mrs. Cunningham would always call him "Warren" the way she called The Fonz, "Arthur".

Kristopher Bluth

My wife just mentioned that Each Child is Different would have been a good Grimtrax. "Get George some more beans."

I have a whole theory in why Pee-Wes’s Big Top didn’t work; it’s the same reason the Marx Brothers’ “At the Circus” didn’t work. You have a wacky guy/comedy team at a circus and there’s no contrast as circuses are by their nature wacky. As opposed to showing up at an opera or Pee-Wee at a biker bar.

Dan Asnis

You shold Riff the Day After as a GrimTrax feature presentation.

Karl Hamann

I'm enjoying this post, but can't help wishing there was a ne w Riff to go with Glen Wakes Up!

David Rhodus

I thought of The Money Tree after watching the first GrimTrax.

On this 10th Day of January, 2026, this is what we all needed... GRIMMTRAX Part 2, grimmier and riffier than ever! ;)

Watching this tonight. I agree with Kevin Kordis above about Apaches. It is a horror show of child deaths in various farm accidents that I'm sure would have traumatised many children in England. Hell, it traumatised me when I first saw it years ago and I was 30+. Beyond grim. There are bits available on You Tube. I'll just say "Slurry Pit".

Wow. The Finishing Line appears to have been banned for 20 years. It's in a class by itself in Grimtrax and sets an impossibly high bar. The Boy Who Liked Deer is traumatizing but The Finishing Line is expansive like a cross between a Peanuts Holiday Special and The Hunger Games. The final scenes of The Tunnel challenge reminded me of the railway wounded scene in Gone with the Wind. I am going to be on the lookout for a Grimtrax t-shirt featuring The Finishing Line.

You guys actually watched 'The Boy Who Liked Deer!' Not sure if you read my comment from the first GrimTrax and that lead to this, but glad the misery could be shared with all! To this day I still don't know why we watched that short.

Leighton Pritchard

Turns out my wife knows (as an adult…) one of the kids from the railway short.
