It's happening! For real this time!

Ahem. Hey there, Traxians... Erik here. Tomorrow night, Thursday, February 11th, join Bill Corbett and me for a Turkey Thursday Watch Party screening of R.O.T.O.R. - which you may recall, Bill selected as his favorite movie that we've riffed to date. (Oh, and the folks at Scener have promised me that they're not doing anymore updates for a while; when they do, they'll give me more advance notice next time!)

Since this watch party is through Vimeo, no subscription to any streaming service is required.

This event starts at 5:30pm Pacific / 8:30pm Eastern Time, over at the RiffTrax Scener theater. AND! Bill will be sticking around for the whole thing, and we'll even field viewer questions for a Q&A after the riff! We'll be taking some questions from the chat, but you can submit some of yours right NOW in the comments below!

Before the main watch party, Patrons can join me at 5:00pm Pacific / 8:00pm Eastern for a pre-show with one of Bill's recent favorite shorts: THE HOTHEAD & THE FORGETTER. This pre-Watch Party Watch Party will take place in The Traxian Room at 5pm PT and will require you to use the code FORGOT to get in.

See you there!

Unfortunately being in the UK I'll miss this but have a great time and remember R.O.T.O.R is so big so big.

Does anyone else have trouble with the vimeo titles? I can't get these ones to work, either it doesn't load on the computer, or I can never find the title on Vimeo. This is one of my favorite titles. When I can't get these to work, I act like I got two eyes both coming out of the same hole!!

Question: Since virtually every actor was dubbed in the film, I assume it was originally shot in a foreign language. What language was it?

Richard Musser

Question: Compare Baron Coldiron and Elon Musk. Discuss differences and similarities. This isn’t a question and i’m not grading you. ignore this pencil and clipboard.

Just wondering if Willard the robot was the result of a very drunken liaison between Tobor and the robot from Supersonic Man.

Question: When one or two of you laugh at a riff the other says, is that impromptu laughter, scripted because it made someone laugh during writing/rehearsal, or scripted like a laugh track?

Richard Musser

Another question: Does R.O.T.O.R have as its premise the LARGEST begged question of all time: Why do we need robotic police? Baron Coldiron makes it out to be the rw equivalent of No Nukes, just sensible policy.

Hey Bill -- since you, Mike, and Kevin have been doing this for so long , do you find yourselves coming up with the same or very similar riffs at the same time when you start working on a new movie or short? In other words, have you become a hive mind/Borg yet?

Richard Musser

tried to join, but there was no sound. it would take me to that box “How to Join” with choices of laptop or TV, and neither helped me join on my tablet.
