Hiya, Traxians! 

We just announced more stretch goals over on Kickstarter, and we need your help for more! 

You probably know how frequently some movies get requested for us to riff, so we took some of the ones we know for sure would make great RiffTrax "Just the Jokes" titles - and we would love for you, dear Traxians, to help us select which one will be next! We'll make this the third and last MP3 stretch reward of the campaign.

We'll run the poll just until Friday at noon Pacific, so get your votes in soon!

Which version of "The Black Hole"? The one with Maximilian Schell and Anthony Perkins (1979), or the one with Malcolm McDowell and Dean Cain (2016)? It seems to be that either one of them would make for entertaining riffs.

Ooh boy, you're gonna try for CATS? I'm excited, but I'm sure you guys will be driven miserable. Then again, you did just experience THINGS, so maybe it'll be a cakewalk. Fun fact, I saw CATS in theaters right before the pandemic, and there were a bunch of drunk mom types in the theater dressed up as cats trying to do a RiffTrax or Rocky Horroe type thing of talking at the screen, and it ended with a man who sounded like Billy Eichner loudly berating them for ruining the film for the rest of us, which drew rapturous applause.

Honestly prefer to NOT do Hackers. It's a genuinely good movie. Willow though? After hearing Mike and Connor slog through Shadow Moon, and hearing Willow referenced over and over throughout the years on MST and Rifftrax, it's gotta be Willow. But Beastmaster really feels up their alley too. Fits in well with Hawk the Slayer, Sword and the Sorcerer, Deathstalker, and the entire "painted on the side of a stoner van" genre of film.

I’d like to see RiffTrax’s take on Disney’s “The Black Hole,” personally. I found that on an old Siskel and Ebert PBS program, they both gave it a “no “rating.

Please not Cats, not because it doesn't deserve it or because you wouldn't do great with it, but because I don't want to have to ever watch Cats!! My wife put it on once and I made it 10 minutes before leaving the room without looking at her or uttering a word.

The Black Hole is interesting because it came from an experimental period where Disney's live action department hadn't pinned down a formula for what did and didn't work for them. They were just throwing ideas at the wall and seeing what might work. It's got a weird dark plot with a lot of nice practical effects for the time. If it had been made a few years later, it would have been released under the Touchstone banner.

Edit: Please, if possible... maybe as an additional stretch goal or two... take the top three? Right now that's Willow, Judge Dredd, and Cats.
