Hey, all!

So... today... sucks. I'm upset and angry and mad and scared and hurt - and so... confused. So confused. In spite of seeing the posts online and experiencing 2016, I just - I really  don't know how I had more faith in people, but I did. I can't believe this is the reality (again).

A big reason Monica and I decided to move on up back to Massachusetts in the last few months was because of this election. It was always the plan (as I knew I wanted to be here long term), but the possibility of this election lit a fire under us to move to a state where our rights and our marriage would be protected. (looking at you, Pennsylvania) 

But not everyone has the ability or means to get their ass to a blue state right now, and even while living in one I'm dreading the future.

I just want everyone here to know that you are so not alone. Everything you're feeling right now - you are not alone.

Waking up today, I saw in the community chat several messages of people checking in. And it was the brightest spot of my morning.

Because the reality is - we aren't going anywhere.

Queer people have existed since the beginning of humankind. Nothing and no one is going to change that. No one can take away our community, the way we see and care about one another.

I'm not going anywhere. My books are not going anywhere. This patreon, where you all allow me to indulge in writing/continuing all of these sapphic stories, isn't going anywhere.

I'm going to be here, writing sapphic romances, sapphic sex scenes, sapphic happily ever afters, and a sapphic world in which a woman is the fucking president, for a long time.

The next few years might bring some real shitty things. But here and now, I'm not going to focus on that.

Here and now, I'm going to focus on the fact that the next few years is going to bring:

in Royally Screwed, there's Callie (Callista) - the oldest sibling, current ruler, who feels far too much pressure/weight on her shoulders. Heavy is the head that wears the crown...

in The Royal Treatment, there's Sera (Seraphina) - the classic middle sibling who has spent most of her life mediating between her sisters, and it's finally time for her to find her own voice

There's a future here. There's a future for us. We will brave everything together - and, in times of need, we can always turn to our comfort characters/books.
