Choosing a favorite moment is insanely hard, but I’ll go with this one: When Riley shows up at Gianna’s after their first official date, even after Gianna said they couldn’t have sex because that wasn’t part of Riley’s “ideal first date.” Riley then responded how part of her post-date ritual is telling her best friend all about her dates and she HAD to tell Gianna that, even though it’s only been one date, she’s in LOVE. Honestly, I’m swooning just thinking about it. 😍😍

This is so kind of them! Honestly, my favourite moment is nearly the entirety of TSE, but if I had to pick on, it would have to be the diner scene between Regan and Emma, where Regan sits next to Emma in the booth and Emma has a little moment of panic before realizing this is just who Regan is and she is kind of forced to reckon with how she sees Regan vs who Regan is. The way she realizes that Regan isn't doing the annoyances on purpose, but rather always trying regardless, even if it's a bit much, is just so cute. They are one of my favourite couples (besides Sutton and Charlotte obvs.)

My favorite moment was probably when Emma’s mom, Melissa, shows up and assumes Regan is Emma’s girlfriend but Regan has absolutely no idea what’s going on, so she just keeps repeating Melissa’s words back to her because she’s so baffled. I love that she just played it off and then went into emmas room with all the power haha. Close sexond is at the beginning of Those Who Wait when Regan is trying to convince Sutton to get back out there. That whole chapter was hilarious. Honestly, we all need a friend like Regan. There are so many moments I love, but those were the first two that came to mind.

Sutton’s love declaration in that moment is just perfect. “I love you, Charlotte Thompson, and I wanted to tell you this time without being in tears or accusing you of being too afraid to love me back.”

I love me some angst and a TWW related moment I think about a lot is in Midnight Rain where Charlotte is confronted by Katherine Spencer at Thanksgiving. I feel tempted to say it's Sutton's love declaration in Midnight Rain. It was so cathartic to see Sutton tell Charlotte she loved her and not be in tears about it. It was a moment of strength. But I might go with Emma telling Regan that she says people always notice Sutton first, but Emma needed Regan to know that she noticed her first. They were both laughing, and while Sutton was beautiful, she noticed Regan's laugh, her smile and the way her eyes lit up. And then goes on to describe all the adorable things she noticed about Regan in the time she made an effort to go to Topped Off for Regan and her good coffee 🥹

Thank you to the anon donator! I think my favorite out of all of the amazing moments in the TWW universe is in MR, when Charlotte and Sutton are at the playland (or whatever it's called LOL). I think it's just a really fun and almost child-like scene and very unique to find in a romance novel. It's one of the first times I really was able to understand Charlotte's upbringing, how it manifests today, and Sutton's role in healing Charlotte's inner child! <3

also, this isn't a moment so much as a reflection of how many times I've read these books but realizing that Sutton is wearing a Pierce dress when she makes her debut as Charlotte's *partner* which is the same brand Gianna wore when she/Riley had their breakthrough in Vermont and the same brand Riley wore when she went on in place of Owen for the Livestream. a teeny tiny universe-connecting detail that I adore.

" Sutton's vows: "I could have existed in those worlds, a different me with a different someone else in a different life. I've revisited each book multiple times at this point, they restore my equanimity after a long day at work so this is a hard one, but I have to say for me Reagan is a moment herself. She's a gift to each character she touches with the purest of love and intention even with her stumbles. We should all have a Reagan in our lives, someone like that is a living moment and priceless.

It's so hard to choose just one 😭 in TWW I absolutely love the scene where they meet in person for the first time at Topped Off and Regan is being a little shit, and Charlotte checks Sutton out before realising it's Sutton. Jealous Charlotte at her Grandmother's party. The love confession. The bonus scene where Katherine overhears Charlotte talking to Sutton and finally realises that Charlotte puts Sutton above her political desires. In MR I love the scene where Sutton goes to Charlotte's hotel room after the *iconic* "Then I won't", and Sutton bursts out "because I was in love with you Charlotte Thompson!" It's such a pivotal moment, finally bringing up the past and getting it all on the table. My other favourites are the obvious: Charlotte's "let me choose you, Sutton", Sutton's first slip up calling Charlotte "love", Charlotte telling herself "don't jump the gun, Thompson", Charlotte showing up for Lucy's show and tell, Charlotte defending Sutton and shutting Layla down, Sutton's slow breaking down of her walls as she realises it's okay to let Charlotte back in, Charlotte's "you moved on. But I never did", and finally Sutton's fucking beautiful and cathartic love declaration ending with "when you're not here, I'll be here. Loving you." God I just love them so much your honour. Bonus mentions for TSE - literally every time Charlotte appears lol. I love the relationship she builds with Regan. And their texting is amazing!

There are a lot, but my current trending moment would be when Charlotte and Sutton finally go on a date in MR. Charlotte takes Sutton to the Foundation building and she lets her read the letter her grandmother wrote for her. Elizabeth was a part of why Charlotte walked away the first time, so her being given the permission and seizing it the second time around and sharing that with Sutton such a great moment.

I listen to TWW and MR on loop, Lori's nararion is absolute perfection. For TWW the gut punching moment off the coffee shop breakup is almost too much to bare, even though we know Charlotte eventually comes to her senses but the first time reading that was absolutely heartbreaking. And for MR when Charlotte allows Sutton to read the letter from her Grandmother. It shows the absolute trust and love she has in Sutton and always brings a tear to my eye. Also Guggenheim!

For me, there are two moments that feel similar. My favorite is in of TSE when Emma, after her fight with Reagan, calls Sutton to ask how to make amends because she realizes that Reagan always tried to be her friend. The second one is Charlotte and Sutton’s engagement. To me, these scenes have a similar vibe, both Emma and Charlotte experience something they are accustomed to or expecting to... It’s a kind of loss that has a bigger impact on them than they anticipated.

i have to say, even though the entire TWW universe is so special to me i honestly think MR is my favorite. however, the snowball effect has taken over a very important piece of my heart :))) anyway, i think one of my favorite moments in MR is when Charlottes shows up to Lucy’s classroom for show and tell to save the day in lieu of Layla’s emergency surgery, dazzling Sutton anddd Miss Izzie (as well as obviously cementing her role in Lucy’s life as a dependable adult 🥰).

Thank you anon donor!! I am utterly obsessed with the MR scene when C&S are running home in the rain. Talking about the first time Charlotte called her Darling, the hand holding, the giggling. Prob not peoples initial go do, but it’s one that made me soooooo giddy and a scene I am looking forward to watching come to life WHEN Those Who Wait is made into a movie. It’s the scene at the coffee shop where Charlotte has literally STALKED Poppa Spencer. Regan notices Charlotte as she orders. And is beaming as Sutton hugs her dad. Regan announces “I’m happy we’re ALL here”. Charlotte is very clearly checking Sutton out. Sutton turns to Regan and is like “What are you on today???”. And I am just there GIDDYYYYYY. Like full on happy kicks and smiling. Happens every single time I read TWW 🙈☺️

My favorite moment is in MR when Charlotte goes to Lucy’s school to fill in for Layla missing Grown Up Show and Tell. It was the way Charlotte kept showing up for both Sutton and Lucy by setting aside time or rearranging her schedule. It showed intent and care in the little things. She didn’t do it to show up Layla, she did it to make her girls happy. In fact - I love every time Charlotte defends Sutton’s character as a strong willed independent woman that doesn’t need saving. That Sutton can manage on her own and having others show up for her doesn’t make Sutton weak or needing saving - it just proves that she has people that love her.

I listened to the audiobook and Lori Prince really showed why she’s the best of the best! “You are. You are, though, because I was in love with you, Charlotte Thompson!” The words exploded from Sutton, from somewhere so deep inside of her, somewhere that had been bottled up and pushed down long ago. “I was so, so in love with you, and I was fine with you not coming out. Also, I love when Katherine defends Charlotte to other guests during one of the holiday parties and Charlotte overhears. Loved that maybe underrated moment.

It's no secret that The Snowball Effect is my favorite work of yours, and honestly there is probably a dozen moments in there that could qualify for my favorite one, but if I had to narrow it down to just one it's when Regan just wants to affirm Emma but ends up not only likening her body to classic sculptures but also realizing she's genuinely checking Emma out before tumbling off the arm of the chair, against a display of books, and onto the ground.

The last scene in TWW when Sutton discovers Charlotte's devastation want due to the lost election, but because Sutton didn't propose. For me it completes Charlotte's emotional transformation. I like to think Sutton saw her transformation in that moment too.
