Today's illustration is Mechako from Kaikigumi. This is a bikini ghost that was purchased in the hope of creating summer memories, but was never worn.

Of all the anime this season, my favorite is Kaikigumi. I like anime that I can watch without thinking too much. When I heard that Kaikigumi was going to be made into an anime, I was worried about how that haphazard and slightly outdated short manga would be adapted, but I like how it turned out just right.

Speaking of which, I wonder what the situation is like with spirits of non-living things overseas. In Japan, the idea of spirits inhabiting inanimate objects, such as tsukumogami, is a popular genre, but I wonder if things like the cursed blue diamond, Chucky, or Annabelle would be considered equivalent overseas. It seems like a slightly different genre from tsukumogami, which are based on animism.

Well, putting aside the difficult stuff, I like the anime "Kaiki-gumi" which features nonsensical ghosts like the ghost of fried rice and the ghost of stolen panties. Mechako is so cute.😌

I didn't know this character, her hair style is so cute, and her intense looking while using such a skimpy bikini looks so good, by the way, the detail of the micro panties barely cover her coochie's slit and just a tiny bit of the top show is always so hot

about spirits in Mexico we don't have objects getting one over time/situation like in Japan, here if something get "cursed" is always by something supernatural, like a ghost a witch or nature spirits

I see, so there are external factors involved, such as spirits possessing objects. It's quite strange to think that objects themselves can possess souls. Tsukumogami, the spirits that inhabit objects, have their roots in animism and ancient Shinto and date back thousands of years (as can be inferred from pottery from that time), but they only became popular around the Edo period when the idea of "cherishing things" combined with animism. Like the umbrella ghost (karakasa obake) or the cloth ghost (ittan momen). Therefore, it can be said that they are more like a kind of fictional character rather than actual ghosts. In a way, they're kind of like SpongeBob, I guess... 🤔
