Today I have a commission for Sonata following a whimsical spider girl who really just wants to read and learn magic but gets caught up in a kingdom's politics, literacy uplift, fighting with beast tribes, and more.

Description:

Ever since Adriana was young, she was enthralled with the power of words, the ability to record thought, speech, and ideas in a way you could literally read, live through, long after they're gone. This fascination bled into a dream:

A quiet bookshop, filled with bountiful sunlight, open to all so they could read and discover the magic of reading and knowledge.

Unfortunately, her dream has a few roadblocks: an established magocracy, petty nobles, and an ongoing war between humans and the Beast-kin tribes, a caste system, a burgeoning spiritual revolution, and more.

Can a spider girl just read in peace?
