Post Process workflow/tutorial (Patreon)
Content
everything i render in blender is rendered with the cycles renderer and optix denoising. post processing is the most important part i feel as blender's compositing leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quick iteration.
the first process is color grading, i spend most of my time adjusting levels to get the tone im looking for. auto-tone sometimes gets close but never to the final bit.
blue
red.
and lastly green, which rounded out the whole image
im going to move to the other render to talk about vignette and grain
this is the layer setup for post processing on this image:
the two major layers are film grain, and lense flair. doing either with very small values tends to offer a better/more subtle effect vs just letting them rest at the default values.
when this is done a little bit of noise and adjusting exposure to your desired output will leave the render mostly finished.
nothing here are hard and fast rules but these are the tools i use most often with renders.
