Progress Update (1 December 2022) (Patreon)

Hey guys 👋 First progress update post for the month of December 💖 Thank you so much for all of your support! I hope you have been enjoying November's side stories and Q&A sessions 🥰

For the past few days after finishing all of November's exclusive content, I've started working on the main story once again. And entering December, I'll start working on Chapter 4 and hopefully, I can get an update out by the middle of December. 

I can already see that Chapter 4 is going to be a big chapter. Already, at the beginning of Chapter 4, MC will meet their mother, Yvette and the talk with her alone is going to be pretty complex and has a lot of variations based on how your MC feels about her. Moreover, I'm currently planning on giving quite a number of options for MC to choose what they feel about her after the talk and whether they want to start making amends with her or not. I'll talk more about it in another progress update post.

Chapter 4 will also be the time for Skylar and Santana to make their debuts in the story! 😄 So, I'm pretty nervous but also excited to write it. Chapter 4 will also have the talk with Luka and Grandpa about the aftermath of the mission in Chapter 3, which will also be varying depends on how your MC handled the execution of the Police Commissioner and the goons.

Just like the previous chapters, I'll release Chapter 4 in parts so you guys don't have to wait too long for an update, since Chapter 4 is going to be a gigantic chapter to write for me 😅

Today, I have just finished implementing all the typos and grammar fixes for all available chapters and coding bug fixes for Chapter 2 Birthday Party. I've also done some tweaking for Chapter 3, mostly regarding the Police Commissioner. 

It seems I did not manage to hit the mark in trying to make it clear that he's a grey character because some readers still see him as a good guy when he is not supposed to be. So what I did is make his association with the Nemesis Project clearer, such as the fact that he was the one who covered up the first superhero's murder by making the official statement that said that it was a suicide instead. 

Also, bringing attention to the fact that he got his position through nepotism, so yeah, he's kind of a hypocrite. I actually already made Luka say this in the breakfast scene, I think, but maybe most people just glanced over the statement, so I made sure MC bring it up again when interrogating the Police Commissioner.

One last thing I tweaked in Chapter 3 is MC's reactions when executing the commissioner—I think it's either your MC turns away and not wanting to witness the execution or your MC and Ash looking at the execution together in awe 😆 Now, instead of Merciful MC looking away and Ruthless MC spectating the execution, it'll depend more on your MC's choice in Chapter 2 regarding the mission (Ready to kill, reluctant to kill innocent, or don't want to kill).

If your MC chose the "didn't want to kill" option in Chapter 2 and then decided to execute the guy anyway, they'll look away no matter if they're ruthless or merciful. If your MC chose the other two, then it'll depend on whether your MC is ruthless or merciful.

This progress update post turns out to be quite long 😅 Well, I just wanted to report on the changes I've worked on for the last couple of days and talked a bit on the future plans on Chapter 4 🥰 So, I hope this post turns out to be informative at least!
