Chapter 4 Early Access (Patreon)

(Note: Most recent update 1st Jan. Hey guys! 👋 First of all, Merry Christmas and (early) Happy New Year to all of you! 🎉 I'm really happy to be able to get this whole chapter done just in time for Christmas, so here's a Christmas gift from me for all of you! 💖

Chapter 4 contains 43.5K words of new content, which brings the total word count to 185.5K words. This big update is not solely for Chapter 4, there are also some things tweaked, fixed, and added in the previous chapters, which will be detailed below. Because of this, I think it would be best to play from the beginning so you can see the added stuff and let me know what you think about it.

I haven't playtested the chapter, but I've run it through both Quicktest and Randomtest and it passed both with no problem. If you run into an error, can you take a screenshot of the error and send it to the #patreon-demo-bugs channel or if you are not in the discord server, just comment here with what the error says and where exactly you get this error. 

I'll try my best to get to it as soon as possible. But I'll also recommend trying to play from the beginning with clean and new saves and see whether the error still persists.

I also haven't had time to fully run the whole chapter through a proofread and I've decided to do that after the update along with the completed character profiles for Santana and Skylar (right now, I've input the Artbreeder pics, but I haven't written out their description yet). So, I'll be updating that slowly over the coming days.

Lastly, I might be constantly updating and changing the links to the demo, so, if you see a "Not Found" page, check out the new link in this post. It should not interfere with your save files.

Whew, with all of those out of the way, some of the things you'll do in this chapter are:

• Meet Yvette and finally have a proper conversation with her (a lot of variations and different decisions).
• Choose what you feel about her now. Do the years soften your hatred for her? Or maybe they've made you resent her even more?
• Meet the rising star superhero—and your mother's protégé—Skylar Moore.
• Meet the black sheep of the ECPD, Detective Santana Valdez.
• Have a talk with the CEO of the Constellation Agency!

What have been updated in previous chapters include:

- Added a new clothing style, which is the "All black" clothing style similar to what Luka's wearing (popular demand 😆)

- The skill check limits in Chapter 3 have been lowered. To succeed in the hotel entry, you'll need at least 50 in the skill instead of 55. And to succeed in the CQC combat, you'll now need (Combat + Grav) or (Combat + Umbra) at least 105 instead of the previous 115.

- Make the Police Commissioner's unsavoury connection to the Nemesis Project more apparent.

- Tweak how MC reacts to executing the Police Commissioner. Now, it's based more on whether you chose your MC ready or hesitant or don't want to kill him in Chapter 2 talk with Grandpa.

- Bug fixes and typos and grammar errors.
