Chapter 5 Early Access (Patreon)

(Note: Most recent update 2nd Jan. I've just updated the demo with some additional scenes and choices for how MC reacts to some scenes, and MC now can try doing some finger-torture themself. Please check the update log at the end for more details. The demo link stays the same.)

Hey guys 👋 Chapter 5 is finally here! 🎉

Chapter 5 contains around 40K words of new content, which brings the total word count to 225.5K words!

I have playtested Chapter 5 myself one time, and I found no bugs. It has also passed both Quicktest and Randomtest with no problem. But, if you run into an error, can you take a screenshot of the error and send it to the #patreon-demo-bugs channel or if you are not in the discord server, just comment here with what the error says and where exactly you get this error.

I'll try my best to get to it as soon as possible. But I'll also recommend trying to play from the beginning with clean and new saves and see whether the error still persists.

Also, because of the time constraint that I put on myself, I didn't have enough time to do a thorough grammar and typo check, so please, let me know of any typos, grammatical errors, or just strangely worded sentences (Some, I might have written while I was having a fever and sick 😂).

Lastly, I might be constantly updating and changing the links to the demo, so, if you see a "Not Found" page, check out the new link in this post. It should not interfere with your save files.

Now, for what to expect in this chapter:

• Get to know Jackal more and maybe even give him a shovel talk.
• Have a meeting with Luka and Grandpa to talk about everything that has been happening in the past couple of days.
• Possibly get praised by Grandpa and Luka? And receive sage advice from Grandpa.

Update 31/01/23:

• Fixed bug where Grandpa's reactions after the news are repeated.
• Fixed bug where there might be repeated sections of text before choosing to focus on the paths.
• Fixed some typos, grammatical errors, and one instance of a wrong variable for Viktor's last name.
• Fixed bug where the non-lethal umbra and grav scenes in the alley are reversed.
• Added an extra page break after the news segment and before Grandpa's reaction to it.

Update 02/01/23:

• Added some more options about what MC is thinking or feeling, specifically after the news segment, and when Luka does the finger-torture scene.
• MC can know try doing some finger-torture themself if they choose to react to the torture in sadistic glee.
• Fixed bug where teasing Jackal about his wedding would lead to the end of the whole conversation.
• Fixed a whole bunch of typos and grammar fixes.
