I thought I'd do a little quick poll as to what I am going to work on on the Mod tonight.

I set the end time to 12:15 AM CEST, as I will start working after that. I reckon it might be fun to let you guys decide which part of the Mod that I will focus on tonight.

also can you fix it the part when i buy drugs from my dealer in use all my money up on the dope i buy, the only way i can sell it to other is if i have the amount of money on me as the same price i'm selling it for, if i wanna sell cocaine for 650 i got to have 650 on me just to sell it

SadNSilence

Being able to smoke weed with other sims would be mind blowing.

poisonivy

Yes what Tay said.

basemental

Yes, this is something that absolutely need sorting out ASAP. I just noticed this glitch last night. Thanks for reminding me

Destinee Truluck

Hey im having trouble actually selling the drugs, the interactions do not appear for me. I make sure that they are good enough friends and that i have the biggest unopen bag of cocaine in my inventory, and i have the latest update

basemental

You are only able to sell the following: ziplock bags of all qualities (that is the smallest bags), MDMA pill glass, and Weed Buds. You have to befriend the Drug Dealer first and Inquire about selling drugs. Meaning you need to get quite Friendly with the Drug Dealer before you even get the option to start selling. All of this is explained in detail under "Buy Drugs" and "Sell Drugs" in the "Basemental Drugs v1.07.4" post.

basemental

So... Addiction and OD to MDMA won the poll, so I'll start working on that now. Thanks for helping me decide what to work on tonight :)

basemental

This is quite high on my to-do-list right now. I do think it would require some new animations though, which I would rely on some help from others doing, as the animations I have done myself just doesn't cut it. I could always make it so you just pass a blunt over and the other person start smoking it, but I would much rather make it proper so one Sim smokes and passes it to another while smoking and the other Sim continues smoking. It kind of has to go down like this to make sense realistically I think.

Rizzle

anytime bro

I'd love to see meth added to this you could use one the the scientist work tables to make it look like you are cooking it....i think that would be pretty cool

Hey man, I just have a quick question. A while back you made poll about what adding next, I just looked up the result and it seems alcohol won that close to cigarettes. I'm just wondering where that is on the timeline. I know, there's already alot on your plate as it is, and I'm trying to put even more on it. But then again I hope you are either a big eater or you use soms basemental drugs to get the munchies ;-)

basemental

Hey! It is hard to say exactly when I will get to working on that, as the rough timeline would be to finish up on addiction and OD on the current drugs first, make all the drugs shareable, add more features to the Weed part, finetune the buying and selling interactions, and then get to working on a Drug Dealer Career. After that is done I am planning to implement more drugs to the Mod. I really want to make both alcohol and cigarettes, but I am not sure yet if I will make these as separate mods or bake them into Basemental Drugs. But as you can see, there are a lot of stuff that needs finishing up on before that will happen.

basemental

Of course you can. OD is not the same as death-by-drugs. You can overdose on literally any substance known to man. Even though you can't die from smoking or eating too much thc you can definitely, per definition, overdose on it and have a frightening/uncomfortable/paranoid/trippy experience.

timpiej

Alright, thanks for the heads up!

I continue getting last exception text errors (Basically spammed with them) after installing mc command center newest version, wicked whims newest version and this mod. When I look at the text file it seems to mention errors between this mod and wicked whims.

basemental

Hi Cierra, sorry for the late reply. I noticed Turbo just updated Wicked Whims right now with a new version which "Fixed issues with checks for Sims in sex". Might be that this does the trick. I havent had time to test out the 2 versions he posted before that, but I doubt they should have any conflicts. Did you make sure to delete the old Basemental Drugs files before installing the new ones? Duplicates may cause some issues. You could try to do a fresh install of the newest Wicked Whims and the 1.07.4 of Basemental Drugs.

Crissy

You put so much detail into this...its awesome. ThNk you

basemental

You are most welcome! Thanks for the support :)

MahiaSinn

A little concerned about the addiction/OD on weed. I don't want my sims dying from weed, that's not really realistic.

Alisha Gamble

I have a suggestion. Idk if you already have it and I haven't reached that level but maybe add a relationship pf

basemental

You should not worry about that. I have repeated this right here to the point that it is getting ridiculous. I strive to make this Mod as realistic as possible, so I would obviously never implement a lethal OD to weed. When I write OD with regards to weed I am thinking more like how it would affect your Sim negatively when overdoing it. In the future I will probably rephrase this from OD to "Took Too Much", seeing that so many people are under the false impression that Overdose equals death.

basemental

Cool idea, I will write it down and look into it. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Xmiramira

I'm in game, and the idea just hit me, what if you turned the in game mushrooms into shrooms? And they get moodlets to match the high etc

basemental

Hi Mira! I have been wanting to Mod some shrooms for a long time now, but there is so much to finish up on first. I am really looking forward to starting on that, though, as I have a lot of ideas in terms of how to make the stages of the trip very randomised.

Shan Mclean

hello, i have the latest version of basemental installed but i do not see buy drugs in the social events

basemental

The Buy Drugs event has been removed and replaced with a Drug Dealer trait. Read up on "How It Works" in the post titled "Basemental Drugs v1.07.4" - Especially these 2 parts: "Buying Drugs" and "Selling Drugs".

Jesper Dirach

OD due to weed? Not realistic :-P

basemental

I will just copy paste my response to exactly the same remark from a few posts ago: Of course you can. OD is not the same as death-by-drugs. You can overdose on literally any substance known to man. Even though you can't die from smoking or eating too much thc you can definitely, per definition, overdose on it and have a frightening/uncomfortable/paranoid/trippy experience. Personally I smoked weed every day for well over 10 years, so I am not just talking out of my ass

Linda

I need help lol how do I access the download?
