This has been a lot of fun modding. Apart from the aforementioned hotfixes, I have been working my butt off to get the MDMA Dealing Skill kicked properly into shape. I wanted it to differ a bit from Cocaine and Amphetamine Dealing, and I think I managed to really pull that off. I also included a reward for the max level that allows you to manufacture your own drugs. Something people have been asking me to implement for quite some time now. I will definitely add more options to this feature in upcoming levels.

How it works

MDMA Dealing Skill

You gain levels by selling MDMA. Simple as that. Here is a quick rundown of the new level rewards:1. You can sell MDMA2. You get better prices when buying3. You can order drugs online4. You can sell individual pills5. You can press your own pills with a pill pressing machineThe first level is usually gained by asking the CAS assigned Drug Dealer to start dealing MDMA. As for the level 2 and 3 rewards, I don't think these needs a lot of explaining.

The 4th level is also pretty self explanatory. The main difference between this interaction and the selling of whole Pill Glasses is that selling individual pills does not come with a time constraint in selling. Meaning you can sell to the same Sim over and over if that is something that tickles your fancy.

As for level 5, the MDMA Pill Pressing Machine reward can be found in your Household Inventory. You need to buy ingredients for pressing pills through the Dark Web. There is also a 3 hour time constraint in place for using the machine.

Installation Instructions

Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.

Download Basemental Drugs v1.1.1

Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.1.1

Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder.

If you experience issues with Buying or Selling -place basementaldrugs.ts4script directly in your Mods folder.

Hi, I've been out for a while. And tbh a bit too lazy to read back everything for just one thing. So I'll just throw it in here: is the desperate (X 4 drugs) gone? Because even though I have an addicted sim, she can't seem to find a cheap way to get her fix?

I know it was there about 2 weeks ago. But yesterday when I fired up the game, I only had the 'settings', the diferent drugs & the 'drug dealing' tab in the basemental menu.

I can surely have a look at it, but I don't think anything should be different in terms of that interaction. You sure you deleted all the old files before installing the newest version?

Alright. Could you specify with as much detail as possible the instances where it does not work for you any more? Gender of the addicted Sim, gender of the dealer, ages, if they were in a group chat, if you tried to do a couple flirty emotes first, which kind of addiction it was, if any of them had sex in the last 48 hours. Would help a lot when trying to figure out why this might be occurring all of a sudden.

Okay, so far I can say this: female addicted to coke, the dealer is a male and both are adult. They weren't in a group chat. The dealer is a NPC so I couldn't really say what he did the last 48 hours, the addict sure had sex in the last 48 hours. I could test if that has something to do with it. I can also tell you that I tried this when she just did a line, was coming down and was craving another line. None of them had the option available. I'll fiddle some more and let you know.

There is a 48 hour time restriction on that interaction. Meaning, if either of the two involved has a hidden buff called recentlyhadwoohoo the interaction won't work. This was implemented a few versions ago to circumvent a bug with the interaction. There might be a better way to go about solving that bug, though, and I might take another look at it down the line. But in the meantime, could you try to wait 48 hours and try again to see if that does the trick?

I will, just to be sure, is the woohoo buff a result of the generic woohoo or the wicked woohoo or both?

I think the menu tab when you click on a sim is taking up the "trained commands" spot on pets. When I click on my dog I can't get him to do any trained commands because the "basemental" tab is in the way. Is it possible you can fix this?

Oh. Thanks for the headsup, I haven't actually bought that expansion yet. I guess I'll do it tonight and sort out a fix for this

Nope, it's not that, 36 hours have gone by now. I've also tried some flirty moves but it's just not showing up. Could it have something to do with the inventory? Because I have plenty of dope in there.

Hi! I really love this mod and it's so much fun to have in the game. For this download though, is there only supposed to be two files in the basemental folder? The only two files that show up are the script and the main basemental package. None of the other files have had to been replaced? I only am concerned because since the rest are not getting updating, my sims cannot take the drugs. Like, one of my sims will have the MDMA bottle in their inventory but clicking on it does nothing. Not even when clicking on baggies of speed or coke. I hope this can figured out soon. Thanks!

I deleted unintentionally :( In this last versions you posted, there's only two archives inside the zipped file, does that mean i can delete all the others? Or should i keep it? Thanks :)

They are not to be replaced, they are to be deleted, like it says specifically in the installation instructions. If you keep them in there you will have the old mod and the new version conflicting with one another.

You need to level up Amphetamine, Cocaine or MDMA Dealing skill to at least level 3 to use it

My sims buy pot seeds, but cannot open and plant them. Also, When I add extra traits I only see trait to be a Cocain Dealer, an MDMA Dealer and a speed dealer, but nothing for Pot/Marijuana. I'm new to this so I may be missing something.

Sounds like you haven't deleted all of the old files before installing the new version. Delete all the old instances of the Mod, install the new one. New one should only be 2 files in total. Place them directly in your Mods folder. There is no Dealing Skills for Weed as of right now.

This mod was an interesting find. it has always annoyed me that sims excludes most of the "not traditionally viewed as idyllic" parts of peoples lives. I've had a chance to try out all the different parts of it now and i must say-you have done a really good job implementing all of it! i originally just wanted it for the growing cannabis part but the rest is very well done as well. i'm really impressed. It annoyed me that my vampire can "eat" his wife and leave her laying in a pile on the floor regularly but there is no resulting trauma-lol! So in my game-she has developed a drug addiction to cope ;) (i'm curious how that would, in actuality- effect the vampire when he bit her-ha!) It would be cool if you could "take cuttings" from the different cannabis plants and splice them to make plants that do different things. Like discover a combination that you can turn into medicine

Glad you are enjooying the mod, Myrrah. I agree that your suggestion would be cool. I am not sure it is feasible with how the coding around the plant system from EA is implemented, though. Either way, I appreciate the suggestion :)

hm, did i miss something? i can not order drugs via darknet anymore. there is only the headshop but no "darknet"-option at the computers

After I downloaded the patch I'm not able to cure weed anymore. It won't give me the option to click on the cured jar or an empty jar.

You need to delete the old files before installing the new version. Read the installation instructions and do exactly what it says.

Hello, I downloaded and I also followed your instructions. I downloaded - didn't unzip because my computer unzips itself - added the folder and then took out the script into the mods folder basically like you said. I open the game the only thing I see is Settings if I click the Sim. I don't see anything else I could do. The settings basically say No phone calls and no autonomous drug use. HELP PLZ. DESPERATE.

You need to buy drugs first. Make a new Sim and give them the Drug Dealer trait and move them into a lot. Then visit them with your actual sim and you'll be able to buy drugs from them. The drugs will show up in your inventory. You can also buy a bong or papers in Buy Mode --> Clutter. And cannabis seeds from the computer.
