This is not the most extensive update I've done in a while, but it deals with stuff that needed sorting out I think. This will also give me more time to focus on a bigger update for next week with some new implementations and hopefully not too many bug fixes. 

How it works

Share a bong

Sharing the bong works like sharing a line of cocaine or amphetamine. As long as the bong is on the table and your active Sim has a smokeable bud in his or her inventory, click on the bong and select "Share Weed with". Make sure the Sim you want to share with is in close proximity and a good friend.

The other Sim will then walk over to the bong and smoke a bowl.Easy-peasy-japanese!

Weed Dealing

I totally forgot to add in the customer phone calls when implementing the first 5 Weed Dealing Skills. Thanks to you guys for reminding me about it. That is fixed now and should work like a charm. Just sell like you would normally and those customers will start calling after a while.

MDMA Dealing

I got so many questions regarding how to create MDMA due to the ingredients being listed on the Dark Web. I have now created a separate option on the computer that is only visible for level 5 MDMA Dealers which says "Buy MDMA Ingredients on the Dark Web" where you can only find the ingredients, and they are removed from the "Buy Drugs from the Dark Web" computer interaction.

Glitches Fixed

Someone reported that they could discuss drug stuff with the Temple Guardians in Jungle Adventure. That should be fixed now.The most critical bug fix this version was a problem with the end of the Ayahuasca trip. The way it works is that you get a different post-trip buff depending on the traits of your Sim. Some of the traits also gets replaced by other traits in some cases. This was not properly tested by me by the release of last version and I found it threw a ton of LastExceptions. This is fixed now and the mod should again be LastException free.(08.03.18) Fixed an issue where the bong disappeared into NPC's inventory. Now it gets placed back on the ground after the NPC smokes a bowl.

Installation Instructions

Delete all the old Basemental Drugs files from your Mods folder.

Download Basemental Drugs v1.2.3.03

Unzip Basemental Drugs v1.2.3.03

Place the unzipped files in your Mods folder.

If you experience issues with Buying or Selling - place bothofthefilesdirectly in your Mods folder.

Have you updated to the latest TS4 game patch?

Do that, then. I can only make sure that the mod works for the latest patch at anytime. If you don't use the latest official game patch there will be issues with the mod as well, due to EA constantly changing their tuning for every new patch they release.

i have 12 uncured purple haze to cure in the jar. When i click on the jar it says i don't have the purple uncured haze. Please help me figure this out thanks.

You need 15. It used to be 10, but then you only got 5 buds out of the ziplock bag. Now it's 15 and you get 10 smokeable buds from the bag.

Hi, I'm having trouble with the drug dealing and buying option. I've read through a bunch of things and I have tried getting friendships stronger with my drug dealer, I've tried appointing a different sim as a drug dealer and I've tried putting both for the files directly into the mod folder. Not sure what else to try, please help :) thanks.

Have you enabled script mods in your TS4 game settings, though? It is underneath the "enable Custom Content" button.

hey im new to this mod and im just wondering if ive done it right, it works but theres no police my sim killed a guy after he beat him playing a video game lol and the guy just died I was expecting police to come or something, im wondering if theres something im missing

lol yeah I just reemebered but I have a drug dealer and a club that is ful of drugs and police havent arrived or anything I didnt know I could still sell drugs if I dont have the drug dealer trait I used the clubber trait for my sim

Hi, after downloading your most recent update, my sim can no longer smoke from the bong. I can share the weed in my sim's inventory, but i get a last exception when i try to make her smoke. The weed also comes out of her inventory, but she gets no buffs, etc. How can i fix this?

Yes and yes. I think the issue may have been from the bong being purchased by a different household, or possibly a glitch with the CC coffee table it was placed on, I'm not sure.

hey basemental just wondering is there a way to have dealers working for you ? Like have them deal weed for you and bring you the money at the end of the day or week? Just wondering since that would be awesome since my sim is pretty much the big dealer on the block lol

No. I am probably going to implement that sort of the same way as the top Cocaine Dealing levels when I start working on the 5 last levels of Weed Dealing though, as in assigning some high level clients that you can sell pounds to, which in term makes other Sims able to buy directly from those guys.

I will have a look at this once I get back home, right now I am attending a wedding all weekend so I have very little opportunity to check it out. Thanks for letting me know, though. The last patch came out literally half an hour before I had to leave town for the wedding.

I think it makes way more sense having the dealer skills. That way it works like a career in your home or whereever you want, and it works for basegame users as well. Don’t you agree?

Maybe new to modding in general. Just put it in Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 4/Mods. then make sure in game options that you have custom content and script mods enabled.

Just click on the zip-file at the bottom of the post. In this case: 'Basemental Drugs v1.2.3.03.zip'.

Download and install winrar for mac. When done, you can open the zip file and extract it to the folder of your choosing.

i have downloaded the file basementaldrugs.ts4script and the Basemental Drugs.package and put them both in the Mod folder. i still cant seem to get any one to offer to sell. i created a dealer based on your tutorial- with the same traits and moved them into a house nextdoor and became friends... what am i doing wrong?

I absolutely LOVE this mod. You should make ciggarettes they are wildly addicting and weed edibles for baking and such.

Quick question! On the mod available on your website, v 1.1.4.8 says alcohol is available, but in this version of the mod i am unable to see anything to do with alcohol.

Everything that is on the public version is also in the Patreon version, only difference is that the Patreon version is newer and there is even more stuff

Sooo, I can't figure out why I can't cure my weed in the jar. It says "missing required items" but I definitely have the uncured stuff in my inventory. I just want some home grown pot! What am I doing wrong?

You need 15 uncured buds of the same strain in a jar to start curing. If you hold your mouse over it it says specifically how many you are missing

No. You can use the old one though, but some of the words will be in English. I try to put out updates to this on weekly basis so there is no chance that the translators would keep up with that

Poops! That makes sense. It was saying I needed 10 of the same uncured. But I haven't had 15 of the same in my inventory yet, hence why I've never seen the option. Sweet, thanks!

My sim is an addict, poor man. I'm trying to get him help, but his stubborn self gets stuck on the "Go to rehab" action. I've tried resetting him through Ctrl + Shift + C but trying to force him into rehab gets him stuck on the phone again. ): I knoooow, I'm the worst!

Hi Laura. I'd advice you to do the following. 1. Delete your Localthumbcache.package (located in My Documents > Electronics Arts > The Sims 4 2. Place all your other mods except Basemental Drugs to a temporary folder, start up your game (with autosave turned off, and make sure you are not saving anything) and try the interaction over again. If it works this time around you have some other outdated/broken mods or pieces of CC in your Mods folder that needs either updating or deleting.

I can't get my Sims to do the drugs. If it's in the inventory no options are available, and if it'd not in the inventory it only says put in inventory. I've updated every time there's one available so I don't know. Is the actual drugs folder outdated?

1. Have you updated your actual ts4 game? 2. Have you deleted the old basemental drugs files before installing the new versions as you should?

The package and the script are separated and then the folder with the actual drugs

Thats the thing though. You only need the package and script file, you shouldn't have a folder with the actual drugs, that is from an old version. When it says "Delete all the old files before installing the new version" it literally means that. Please delete that folder and your localthumbcache.pacakge located in Documents > Electronic Arts > Sims 4 and try to open the game again

How do you work the machine to make your only pills

You need to level up MDMA Dealing to level 5 first and foremost to get the machine. After that you order the Ingredients for it Online through a computer, with the required Ingredients in your lvl 5 MDMA Dealing Sims inventory you click on the machine and press pills.
