Ahoy-hoy and welcome to this month's episode of our community podcast! As we outlined in our 2020 update, the final Talking Simpsons slot of every month will now be occupied by an episode of Talk to the Audience, and we've got a great one for you to kick off our new schedule. Listen in as we discuss Hank Azaria's statements on no longer voicing Apu, Kevin Smith's Simpsons guest spot, Seth MacFarlane's lucrative new contract, and so much more! And, as always, we read and respond to your questions and comments from the recent batch of episodes. Thanks for listening, and here's to a great 2020!

Rooting HARD for Oliver. No other podcast will ever cover it, it had a huge influence on my musical tastes as a young child in the late 80s, it was the first animated thing I watched on D+ after childhood nightmare machine Return to Oz. All 4 of those movies rule, but honestly Mermaid would disappoint me since it's got more commentary on it than the other 3 combinez.

In all this excitement, seems you forgot to actually cover the news of Disney rebranding their 20th Century Fox to 20th Century Studios. I think Henry’s tweet referencing Marge vs the Monorail sums it up as Disney trying to distance Fox Studios from Fox News. It’s a sad fall for a historical Hollywood dynasty, but there is precedent. 20th Century Pictures was a studio that merged with Fox Film back in 1935, and they are the ones who had the classic logo and fanfare we all know and love.

Boy do I ever want a Great Mouse Detective Podcast

You can see the new Mad About You it on Spectrum "On-Demand". It's not bad, but was the original ever good.

Also, can any of these deals for new adult cartoon shows result in an adult cartoon show that doesn't look like fucking shit?

ShyRanger

HOLY SHIT, you got LiileKuriboh for my Patreon request. The guy that helped me get back in and part of the reason I am still a big series watcher. That is AMAZING

Loving the season 1 redux. Honestly I wouldn't mind a redux of older episodes up til the Patreon started. Or maybe the first three seasons or so.

I didn't see the source article/video on the Simpsons Super Bowl prediction, but the KC Chiefs are very much not blue. Their dominant color is red with some yellow and white. The 49ers wear gold, red, and white.

As much as I love the original episodes (once you guys started giving them some room to breathe, at least), the season 1 second pass with your current, more analytic format really has me craving a sweet, sweet seasons 2-4 redux.

Frank Grimes

For shame, you don't remember the mythical McPizza of the 80's?

Thought Seth was pretty hands off on American Dad for a while now. Do Hulu "originals" fall under Disney or Fox, since Orville is now a Hulu exclusive.

Bob Mackey

Yep, but they don't have it anymore just like The Simpsons doesn't use Apu anymore

Frank Grimes

they got one in your home state still :P and I think one in like Tennessee and some other rando states

I demand photographic evidence and a slice of McDonald's pizza in the mail!
