We just concluded our most recent miniseries of Futurama's second season, and we can't wait to start preparing our next round of Patreon-exclusive podcasts! If you're a new subscriber here, you should know that your Talking Simpsons Network subscription offers you so much, including TWO Patreon-exclusive podcast miniseries each year! And we want to start recording our next miniseries for our $5+ subscribers ASAP!

So, with Futurama in our rearview (though with more possible in 2021*), we're giving four other series a chance to win our listener poll. Your picks included more Caped Crusader, a return of King of the Hill, as are our recent WAC favorite Duckman, and the MTV classic we covered before! The four choices are:

Batman: The Animated Series: Our Top 10 Favorite Episodes - We've covered a couple already, but we'd always love to cover 10 more of our favorite Batman toons!

Daria Season 1 - We covered the season finale a couple years ago, so we'd now do the other 12 eps from the misery chick's first year!

Duckman: Our Top 10 Favorite Episodes - We pick ten of our favorite episodes of Duckman and chat about the cantankerous duck dick!

King of the Hill Season 2 Part 1 (Episodes 1-11) - We'll head back to Arlen for more of the true-to-life domestic adventures in Texas!

All fantastic potential miniseries, so please be sure to pick your favorite and vote on it before the end of January 9 (Pacific Time)! You only get one vote, so make it count, then look forward to hearing this new miniseries debut exclusively on Patreon in April!

*PS - If you missed the announcement, our current Patreon pledge goal is if we reach $15,000 a month we'll start doing Talking Futurama as a monthly podcast only for Patrons in addition to our twice a year miniseries! So tell your friends to sign up soon if they haven't yet!!

Bennett Billard

Seeing as HBO Max just got Batman TAS, now is the perfect time to cover that.

Mr. President

I love BTAS but it can wait until Fall

Cody C.

Poor Daria. Happy with everything in this one though

SomeBloke

Part of me wants to enable Bob's diabolical conspiracy to get Talking Duckman off the ground but I just want that KOH follow-up too much.

Kaiza

One day Bob, we'll get our Duckman...

Chris K

BATMAN BATMAN BATMAN BATMAN C'mon guys, for a change! Although I admit, I'd prefer you (like Futurama and Disenchantment) to just do the whole series in order. But then again, this is your time and this is a bonus!

Frank Grimes

I'll tell you what, King of the Hill, got dangit!

Angel Young

I am with Bob and want my Talking Duckman

Allan Berry

Doesn't look like it'll be this time, but i sure hope you're able to do Daria in the future.

Joe Hodgson

I voted Batman. All of the mini series so far have had an animated sitcom-styled program for its subject. Changing it up with Batman would be a lot of fun because it's A.) Awesome, B.) a different format, and C.) adds a little surprise to the experience since it's Bob and Henry's 10 favorites.

Blargh

Loved the KOTH miniseries! Can’t wait to listen to season 2.

Tashmon Dimps

I’m hoping the polls swing towards Batman! I love your guys’ coverage of these classic adult animated sitcoms, but I think covering something different would be fun! Batman TAS is such a good show and worth it to fully dissect

Nick Tangney

It’s got to be King of the Hill. You can’t just start a series then cut us off as it really starts to find it’s own footing!

Dave Logan

One day we’ll hear Talking Daria... one day...

Kiaayo

Look at you, putting Duckman on there, thinking that it'll win. You're adorable.

Thad Komorowski

I think at some point TalKing of the Hill should just be your third show at a certain goal.

KaiserBeamz

I'm gonna keep voting Duckman until I get my Talking Duckman, dammit!

eddiegiantman

We'll never get Talking Duckman at this rate.

mavrick

daria last OOF

Gavi Raab

With the joy of the responsibility of voting for King of the Hill comes the burden of the obligation of voting for King of the Hill.

Bill Fergus

The reason I join patron was for TalKing of the Hill, but when I saw the Daria option, it gave me great pause. I had to still go with King this vote, but I really hope you'll get around to Daria soon. I didn't have cable as a kid so just knew Daria as a cool hip show on MTV I couldn't watch. That is until I got the DVDs in my late teens/early twenties (around the same time I got the KOTH DVDs) and feel in love with it. Seeing cool and hip Daria act lame and petty made me more willing to see my own behavior as perhaps lame and petty while also allowing me have some sympathy for myself. It's a good show, and I'm glad it's on the list even if it does't make the cut this time.

whythemy

At some point, we'll need to have a miniseries runoff between the third and fourth placers. Pitting Daria and Duckman against Futurama, King of the Hill and Batman just don't seem fair.

ShyRanger

Your Duckman WAC was one of my all time faves, I will always vote for Duckman now thanks to that.

sugarwithfreedonuts

Nice, looks like King of the Hill has a good chance! Also, congrats on the marriage, Bob and Nina!

John-Charles Holmes

I *almost* picked King of the Hill, then I turned around and did the American thing and voted towards Duckman

Kyle Curtis

King of the Hill please!!

Patrick Kay

I do want KotH. But I clicked Duckman. For you.

Eli Hernandez

I really want Batman the animated series. I have no nostalgia for the others 😆

treby

Dawww, but only Batman fits in my Batmobile!

Lockerus

I for one welcome our new propane overlords and overlord accessories.

Bond Weissmann

Always gonna vote for Daria. Always gonna be sad.

Eve of the Stars

I want KotH and I knew KotH was going to win, but I threw Duckman a vote because I know how much you guys want to cover that show.

Malcolm Rambert

C'mon guys, give Duckman a chance. There's like...3 different King of the Hill rewatch podcasts.

Rob Zero

I wish we could get a little variety... Futurama and King of the Hill are always going to win.

I voted for BTAS, but I agree. Maybe we need to campaign to the Daria and Batman crews to prop up Duckman!

Matt

I really hope you guys do Daria or Duckman at some point. I will admit I’m a little disappointed to see King of the Hill win again as someone who only watched some of it and prefers Mike Judge’s other show Beavis and Butt-Head.

The good news is Futurama looks like it's going to be a regular monthly series soon, which will take it out of future miniseries polls.

Blargh

So glad KOTH won!! I signed up for the talking Simpsons Patreon due to wanting to hear a well researched podcast on king of the hill.

Pumpkinbob

Maybe if we knew which Batman going into it people would be more likely to vote for it. The two parters are great for instance but Feat of Clay part 1 is not one I would want to count towards the run unless it was in the same episode as part 2.
