I'll do it!...... I always end up doing it

I just started listening but the Japanese govt are being useless with the vaccine rollout. My understanding is that they’re being organised at the clinic level, so there’s no centralised method of arranging an appointment. Also they fully intend to host the Olympics, even if Tokyo is still under “state of emergency” and even went as far as saying sacrifices have to be made (implying people dying??). Most of the country wants the Olympics either delayed or cancelled. So that’s where things are at currently. It’s madness.

About to Happy

Death Becomes Her was a first-time Halloween watch for me a few months ago, and slight messiness aside the final line/button on the movie is just perfect. (My other watch that night was Takashi Miike's episode of Masters of Horror... and boy howdy is that not for the faint of heart or stomach. And I've seen Audition, Gozu, and Ichi the Killer.)

Otto's dead body remark feels on brand for the character. He seems like the exact type of guy from that era renting Faces of Death every Friday at the video store. Psyched to hear you guys tackle some classic Donald Duck! Der Fuhrer's Face is definitely not the best Donald cartoon, but it sure is the most surreal. That whole section of WWII cartoons on the Chronological Donald Vol. 2 is quite a trip.

Blue Harvest (the first Family Guy Star Wars parody) and the three Robot Chicken specials are great. The Robot Chicken specials have jokes that reference the old Legends canon which is a super deep cut, so I recommend those if you haven’t seen them. They are so old that I’m sure they are in glorious 720p or something.

I'm hesitant on if I want you guys to do Hunchback or not, for a kidna odd reason. On the one hand, yeah it's good and deserves more time to look at... on the other hand Lindsey Elis did a great video on it and basically hit all the big point and I feel like I'd just be hearing that again.... then again I guess there's nothing wrong with that if it happens.

So cool to hear love for Death Becomes Her. There really isn't any movie I can think of that's quite like it. ^_^

Man all the Cool World teasing has got me hyped haha. I just recently watched it for the podcast and hated every second of it. It’s probably one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. It’ll be cathartic to hear you guys rip it a new one

DiC dubb of SM holds a special place. So does the incidental music. The Redubb / sub on hulu just doesn't feel right

Super excited for the Sailor Moon DiC Dub episode. I actually just bought a VHS tape featuring that dub as I've suddenly gotten on a "things that were never released on DVD or Blu Ray" collecting kick. And Bob, it's pronounced "canon-wisher" not "cane-en-wisher" XD (everybody gets it wrong)

I'm readying Swartzwelder's "The Time Machine Did It" and it's really funny. Extremely easy read and it stars a detective even more oafish than Homer.

Theres some prty good Disney ww2 training shorts on youtube as well.

When you guys were explaining your hangovers set to DVD menus, I just kept waiting you to bring up "Hot Couch Theory" but you didn't need to mention it, you lived it!

You mentioned your surprise at Hercules winning the Disney Renaissance poll and suggesting it was because your audience skewed younger, so it had more nostalgia to them. I voted for Hercules but I was born in 1982 (the best year to be born), so I'm not a younger millennial. The reason I voted for it is because by the time Hercules came out, I missed due to being "too old" for Disney, where as I saw the others multiple times as a kid. Now that I'm actually old and don't care about acting cool, I want to see this movie I missed and you guys covering it gives me a reason. One of the reasons I like your show is either introducing me to cartoon shows and movies I missed or, in regards to the "Talking" series, pushing past the point where I stopped watching these series (basically any episode past 2004, although we haven't got there yet). I like the nostalgia as well but if my choice in the polls are three movies I've seen before and one I haven't, I'll pick the one I haven't seen.

Fun fact! Despite Henry's assertion that MODOK is too raunchy to ever be on Disney+, that is precisely how it airs in the UK because Hulu has (aggravatingly) never been A Thing here. They added a sixth "STAR" channel that carries across much of Fox's Hulu content, so we get Futurama, the Seth MacFarlane shows and MODOK as well as shows like 24, Prison Break, The Walking Dead, LOST and similar shows/movies. When the D+ app updated to include STAR, it made you opt out of setting a protection PIN to block out that content. They know there's a market for it, but they're doing their damnedest to make sure kids don't accidentally see it.
