I resisted the white knight / saviour narrative. It's bad for Rockford and bad for Emmeline. She needs someone to listen and support her, not fix her problems, and he needs to practice what he preaches and avoid vigilantism.

Yes, the in-between time gets shorter after each choice menu, and after the 4th or 5th time you get the option to walk away and clear your head. Repeatedly showing the choice is meant to simulate the temptation MC feels from having the information right there, even if he wants to resist. 🙂

Nah vigilantism is needed in this world lol. Given his trauma I wouldn't blame him for choosing to run that check at least that's the other side of the coin. We don't know yet what he will do with the information. I'm already looking forward to episode 4.

I think it's important for Rockford to know what he's getting himself into with this girl. Vigilantism or not, he is is a position to help her so he should have a better understanding of the situation. And hell, if he has an opportunity to wreck that dudes day later on, even better.

I ran the check at first, but after thinking about it I felt that it didn’t really fit Rockford’s character and went against his principles so I went back and resisted the temptation.
