Here it is: the second official module from Wand & Widgets - focused, polished, and free for everyone!

Mortal Needs adds a lightweight survival management system to Foundry VTT, giving your players visible, meaningful tension during travel, exploration, and harsh environments. Hunger, thirst, exhaustion, cold, heat, corruption - each need becomes a living meter that slowly shapes the story.

No complexity overload, no simulation bloat. Just a clean floating panel that updates in real time and reacts instantly to your GM controls.

If you enjoy turning journeys into adventures, this one will feel right at home in your toolkit.

What it does

• Floating widget showing portraits and need bars• Draggable, collapsible, and always synced for all players• 13 need types: Hunger, Thirst, Exhaustion, Cold, Heat, Radiation, Pain, Fatigue, Sanity, Morale, Comfort, Corruption, + custom needs• Constitution modifier integration• Click, drag, or use quick +/- buttons to change values• Bulk controls for multi-actor management• Automatic penalties at critical thresholds• Chat notifications for dangerous states• English + Portuguese (Brazil)

Compatible with Foundry v12 and v13.

How to install

Option 1 - Module BrowserSearch for “Mortal Needs” directly inside Foundry.

How to use it

Enable the module

Click the heartbeat icon in the Token Controls to toggle the panel

Select the actors you want to adjust

Click or drag the bars to change values

Use quick buttons or bulk tools for fast management

Travel, harsh weather, and long-term pressure now become part of the gameplay instead of just narration.

This is only the beginning, I’m working on more modules, including premium ones, and Mortal Needs is a strong step toward the kind of tools I want to bring to the community.
