March 2025 Update! (Patreon)

Good evening, everyone, C. H. Darkstrider here with the latest update! I know this one is a bit behind from when my normal updates drop, but there has been much going on in my personal life which has changed things! Most of it good, though there were a few times when it wasn’t. I will get into all of that, as well as what is coming for the future and what’s ahead for the stories. So, without any further ado, let’s get into it!

Firstly, I just want everyone to know that while I am getting back to form in my writing endeavors, it is taking longer than I wanted. Mainly because I am still mentally recovering from a car accident I was in a few months ago. I won’t get into the details of it, but I was able to walk away from it, no worse for wear. The thing I didn’t count on was the mental toll it would take on me in the weeks to follow.

Physically, I was and still am fine, but mentally, I was and still am a little shook. Lot of things were affecting me even more than they normally would, and I needed time to recover. I tried to step back into my writing as a way of distracting myself, but even that wasn’t helping like I thought it would. Ideas were forming, but at a slower rate than I was used to and writing them out… was more than a little difficult.

When coupled with the familial issues I was facing at the time, the situation was… less than ideal to create. That’s why December started out with so much promise, but ended up with so little completed. I am in a much better headspace now than I was then, but it’s still taking a while for me to get back to normal. I’m nearly there, so hopefully, barring any more unforeseen issues popping up, I should be back to where I was soon.

Next thing I wanted to bring up is the fact that things in my life have taken a turn for the better! My family is… expanding! Yes, that does mean what you think it means and yes, I am beyond excited for it to be finally happening! It’s been well over a decade of… well… and the wife and I had almost given up, but it seems fate has other plans in store for us!

I am over the moon about this, as it is something we have wished for, for so long! Now that it’s finally happening, it almost doesn’t feel real, but I know it is! With this, it means increased responsibilities for me at home, as I have no intention of letting the wife do any of the work around the house if it can be helped!

For my stories, this does mean that they may come at a slower pace, as between work and the new adjustments I must be making to my home life, I am going to be very busy. I am going to try to stay on top of things as much as I can, but even then, and even though I wish I was, I’m not Superman. Which leads me to the next topic of conversation.

The extra fourth story chapter I planned to release each month will be paused going forward. I know everyone was looking forward to seeing more stories coming aside from my original three, but as it is, I can’t pull up as much time as I used to. As creative as I am with finding additional time, this is going to require more than my current methods to make it work.

For those who are worried about the fourth story chapter, that was supposed to be released last month, don’t worry, as it will still be coming out. For everyone who hasn’t figured it out, the winner was Wings of Fire, again! So, chapter fourteen will be on its way, eventually. When, I cannot say, as I can only take and plan for each day as it comes.

But worry not, as this doesn’t mean that I am shelving the idea of releasing a fourth story chapter on the regular. It just means that for the moment, the way forward for it is on pause for now. At least, until I can clean up my writing schedule to where I don’t have so many things to do.

The next couple of topics may not be well received, but I do need to address them, regardless. So, here goes. First off is that I will now be converting my prices from USD to Euros. Given everything that has been popping off in the world lately, I believe that switching to another currency would be best, given the uncertainty of these times. Also, considering that the Euro and the Greenback trade at a relative parity, not even a dime difference at the time of writing, I don’t believe anyone here will mind too much.

The other topic in the mix is that I’m going to be upping my prices. Before anyone thinks I’m looking to gouge you, the price hike is going to only be 1 Euro across all tiers. I’m hoping that no one here takes too much issue with that, as the jump isn’t a severe one. This is the first time I’ve had to do a price increase in nearly four years and while some folks will dislike this, it is what I have to do, moving forward.

I’m not going to do it right now or tomorrow with no warning, but it will be happening and go into effect as of April 5th, of this year. While it is the middle of the month right now, I do feel it is enough time for everyone here to decide on what they want to do.

I know it’s not the news a lot of people want to hear, but I think it is something that is fair, considering the amount of content I create. For those who think this is too much, and wish to leave and support other creators, I understand. To everyone who decides to stay, thank you! It means a lot that you have decided to continue to support me, so I can continue writing my stories!

On an uplifting note, I am working on crafting more images for everyone here, so that you all can see the characters, locales and everything in between, as I see them in my head. As I have stated to a few people who’ve asked, I am also working on images for the non-human ladies. I have nothing good just yet, but I am working on it. Hopefully, within the next month or two, you will all be seeing just what these ladies look like! And for any ladies who support my work, worry not, the gents are coming too!

Well, that about does it for this month’s update! I hope everyone is doing well so far, and is enjoying the warmer weather! I know I am and it is a real treat to be able to go for a walk and not feel like I’m about to freeze my rocks off! Thank you everyone for your continued support in my goal to write full time!
