October 2025 Update! (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, C.H. Darkstrider here with the latest update! I’ve got quite a bit to share this time around, so let’s dive in.

The first thing I want to touch on is the wave of new stories that have been appearing on my pages. Some might think they’re a distraction from my main tales, but the truth is they’re not. These are ideas I’ve carried for years, as they are worlds I once didn’t have the courage to begin. Now that I’ve grown into my journey as a writer, I feel it’s time to unearth them and give them a proper start.

Speaking of which, let’s talk about the stories themselves. While I know many of you would love to see certain sagas continue on indefinitely, I don’t start and write a story without an ending in mind. These tales are long, sprawling, and layered… but like all great journeys, they will eventually reach their climax and conclusion.

My main sagas still have many years left in them, so don’t worry about them just yet. But when the day comes that they must end, I’ll need other tales ready to rise and carry the torch. As you all know, I don’t do anything half-hearted or without a plan. That is why every new story gets the same fire and zeal as the ones you’ve been following for years.

Now, about the new projects in general, I know a lot of people are wondering which stories will get my focus at any given time, outside of my main three. Well, for that, I have decided to reactivate the story pick of the month starting now! But there will also be a twist in how it goes. With whatever story is picked as the fourth story in the monthly lineup, there will also be a fifth story, but which story it will be is to be decided by me.

So not only is everyone getting a fourth additional story you are choosing, there will also be a fifth random surprise story every month! Now I’m sure people are wondering which stories are eligible for the picks of the month of November, and I will list out each story, new and old, that are up for the next pick! For those new to my page, here’s a quick rundown of what’s currently in the works.

Beyond Sight Ch. 04; a rewrite of a story I had started a while ago, and keeping with the tone of the psychic phenomena, Tomas digs deeper, to find out just what it was his grandfather was working on and how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Calypso’s Revenge Ch. 02; Picking up where we left off with Alric having sailed the pirate ship Forsaken out of the Black Tempest and on the path to revenge for Captain Calypso Duvant and her crew!

The Crimson Ring Ch. 02; The invitations have been sent, and the fighters selected by Paloma’s algorithm have now arrived in Zurich, each one wondering just what this tournament is about.

Daughters of Chains Ch. 02; Continuing the tale of how seven women, all unsellable in Rome’s slave markets, are now being trained to put on a spectacle for Rome’s underground elite as gladiatrices, part bloodsport, part erotic theater, all while fighting for their freedom.

Return of the Blood Reaver Ch. 04; With the situation starting to heat up upon the Blood Reaver’s return, things are about to get really dicey for everyone involved in the dark underworld, both human and supernatural.

Siren’s Rise Ch. 02; With the test subject in hand, Dr. Walden Kray begins his magnum opus, hoping that he is able to complete it before death catches up to him and before those who fear his work can find him and destroy it.

Sins of the Sacred Veil Ch. 02; The story rolls on of how corruption is taking root in a long forgotten convent, and how three young women, all there at their families’ behest, may save it, or doom the convent entirely.

Society of Dark Desires Ch. 02; Davor’s tale continues, as he is pulled into something he never expected, yet will also realize that what he longs for might just be within reach.

Velvet Sin Ch. 02; With the Parks family finally being free of their tyrannical father, things begin to shift in a direction none of them anticipated, but no one is shying away from it.

Venom’s Kiss Ch. 02; Now that she’s been exposed, Sarika must now walk the tightrope between keeping her family safe and doing the bidding of her new employer.

Walking on the Darkside Ch. 05; With Geralt safe and his attacker exposed, consequences come for them both, but will they be good or bad for our hero?

Some folks might be wondering what happened to the stories Wings of Fire and Second Chances. Well, with Wings of Fire, I am still working on chapter fourteen and will post a teaser of it when it is nearly ready. Because it won the chapter pick three times in a row, it has since been excluded from November’s lineup. But worry not, as it will be included in the lineup for December.

With Second Chances… well, I am saddened to say that I think that would be my first idea that I’ve brought to life that is a dud. I see maybe a few more chapters for it before it would come to a close. While I tried, it’s clear to me that writing traditional drama isn’t exactly in my wheelhouse.

That covers the lineup for November, and now let’s talk about what’s been fueling all this renewed energy. As some of you know, my wife and I recently welcomed a little one into the world! With parental leave available in my country, I’m able to be home right now—supporting my wife, caring for our child, and yes, finally having the clarity of mind to write as much as I’ve always wanted.

This time has been a blessing, but regrettably, it is temporary. Eventually, the leave will end, and the cycle of work begins again… but maybe it doesn’t have to. Maybe there’s a path where I can remain here… fully present for my family, and fully committed to building the worlds and stories you’ve come to love.
