Sunlight filtered through the curtains in soft bands, warm and golden, casting gentle stripes across the enormous bed that looked like a battlefield of pillows and tangled sheets. The room still smelled faintly of last night—heat, skin, laughter, closeness. A warm, lazy contentment hung in the air like incense.

Rosa was the first to stir, though barely. She stretched like a lioness waking on a sun-warmed rock, her newly strengthened muscles rippling beneath her skin in a way even she wasn’t fully used to yet. Her skin gleamed, hair falling in tousled waves down her shoulders, and her body felt charged but peaceful, like the moonlight had lingered in her veins overnight.

Jason was half-draped across her, one arm around her torso, one leg tangled with hers. Sheena lay on her other side, one cheek pressed to Rosa’s stomach, her arm thrown over Rosa’s waist possessively. Phalmina was curled at the foot of the bed like a satisfied cat, one hand on Rosa’s calf as though making sure their newly ascended lover didn’t disappear in her sleep.

They woke in soft waves, with small murmurs, giggles, stretches, kisses against shoulders and arms, sleepy smiles appearing one by one. Rosa sat up and stretched her arms overhead, feeling the full satisfaction of waking up well and full satiated. Sheena blinked up blearily, then followed the line of Rosa’s torso down to her abdomen.

“…no way,” she whispered.

“What?” Rosa asked with a raised brow. Sheena sat up, eyes wide, and ran her fingers over Rosa’s midsection. Her breath hitched as she blinked a few times to be sure this wasn’t a dream.

“This… this is unreal. Rosa, you have an eight-pack… a perfect eight-pack.”

Rosa laughed, warm and musical. “I guess moonlight makes for good protein.”

“No, seriously—what—how—” Sheena sputtered, then leaned down and pressed a slow, reverent lick along one of the deep grooves between Rosa’s carved abs.

“Sheena!” Rosa squeaked, her laugh bright and delighted. Jason snorted a chuckle as he slowly sat up himself, stretching his arms. Phalmina’s head popped up, hair wild from sleep, blinking in amusement. Sheena didn’t even try to pretend she wasn’t enamored as she stared.

“You don’t understand,” she said, voice muffled against Rosa’s skin. “Defined abs are my kryptonite. You want to make me weak in the knees, and fall at your feet as a willing slave, you need to have abs like this. And you—” She licked a second line, making Rosa twitch and giggle helplessly. “—are basically a divine cheat code right now.”

Jason propped himself up on an elbow, smirking. “She’s going feral. Should we be worried?”

“Probably. She’s going to spend the whole day stuck to Rosa like a barnacle,” Phalmina said, rubbing her eyes with a mischievous grin. Sheena broke away just long enough to shoot them both a playful glare.

“Shut up. I’m appreciating art.”

“You’re worshipping,” Jason said.

“And?” Sheena replied immediately, returning to her exploration.

Rosa covered her face with her hands, laughing into them. “Oh my god—stop, you three are too much first thing in the morning.”

“Nope,” Jason said. “You ascended from a peripheral Normie straight into the magical world as a scion of Ix Chel, so you get the full treatment.”

“Yup! So, you need to get used to the idea of mornings like this!” Phalmina chimed in.
