Life is calm again, but for how long?

This one took a while to come out. I was also kind of surprised by how focused it was on the aftermath of the events from the last chapter. That's not a bad thing about any means since our heroes were definitely put through the grinder and some peace and quiet is much needed. I have to say that the interrogation was my favorite part. We got to get a feel for who their captives are as well as the type of personalities they have even if it was relatively short. Having a psychic is definitely an advantage when it comes to this sort of thing and the fact that Bellona just couldn't get the answers straight away meant that the two of them had to place smart, something which Ben was more than capable of. It is quite understandable that the people would want to leave as soon as possible since they have nothing but bad memories regarding the current place and not only was Ben expecting that but he also went out of his way to make sure they had a safe trip. While he and his group didn't escort them all the way, they made sure to give them all the information they're going to need in order to get to move around safely. And let's not forget about the information regarding guns he gave them as well. Firearms have been for the longest time one hell of an equalizer as well as a source of escalation for many decades. The fact that the resources for them are scares only means that they have to adapt which makes the bio weapons make more sense. And of course I don't think I need to explain to you just how risky bio weapons can really be seeing how things played out towards the end. So yeah, this was an overall nice chapter and the whole concept of a bunch of people being part of a war in which they are unaware of as well as being ignorant of their participation is certainly an interesting one in my opinion. And I agree with you regarding The importance of slowing down and having time to relax.
