Before the Scarlet Vigil ever existed, Elise was an ordinary footwoman of the Scarlet Onslaught. She marched into Northrend believing she was fighting to save Azeroth. Instead, she became another victim of the Scourge, her body and soul twisted into service beneath Arthas' will.

Everything changed when Breelyn achieved what many believed impossible. Elise became the first true success in reversing the Scourge plague—not merely freed from the Lich King's control, but restored to genuine life as one of the first of the half-dead.

That miracle came with a burden. Elise remembers nearly everything. The comrades she fought beside as a Scarlet soldier. The innocents she helped kill while enslaved by the Scourge. Every victory, every failure, every regret. Those memories have made her quiet, contemplative, and forever asking one question:

"What if?"

What if the Crusade had chosen compassion instead of hatred? What if Arthas had never taken up Frostmourne? What if she had died before the Scourge reached her?

She knows those answers will never come.

Rather than allowing those questions to consume her, Elise has chosen a different path. She carries her past without letting it define her, meeting each new challenge with calm resolve and unwavering determination. When action is needed, hesitation disappears. She has learned that while no one can rewrite yesterday, everyone can help shape tomorrow.

As the Scarlet Vigil's first restored soul, Elise stands as living proof that redemption is possible, even for those who once believed themselves forever lost.
