This was a rather low-key chapter but there were some noteworthy developments nonetheless. Kerrik proved to be both a useful source of information and a real pain to get anything out of at the same time. That was quite The balancing act in my opinion. But at least Ben knew that the best way to interogate someone is to keep things casual and eventually they will reveal stuff they didn't remember they had to keep secret. The fact that he proved either very resistant or immune to Bellona's abilities was one of the most noteworthy things about him. I hope that you explain why that is eventually. The scene with the prisoners, in particular the soldier was pretty well done too. Quite a bit of introspection on his part as well as what could be in store for him in the future. Not to mention that they are starting to figure out that there is more to Bellona that meets the eye. Even if they have a hard time believing it. Discussion regarding the Deadlands was definitely something that caught my eye as well and after hearing the unbelievable stuff survivors had to say, both Chelsea and Samara figure it out that there was some truth to that. And I have to say the fact that there was some sci-fi elements involved somewhere doesn't really surprise me. I was actually expecting something like this to be honest. Glad to get some confirmation after a long while. Of course we also had the sex scene between Zahn and his wife. That was definitely something new but I can't say I have any objections considering how we got to see some of the Dynamics of their relationship. But I still think that the talk with Kerrik was the best part. Both him and Ben had differing perspective about things and seeing both the contrasts as well as similarities was both amusing and enlightening in equal measure. Especially when the subject of mothers came up. So yeah, I still think we are in the calm between scuffles but it is hard to ignore the fact that there is some setup to Future plot lines and conflicts being done here.
