Ancient rules are broken, but peace may yet be worth it...

Kerrik makes his report and unsurprisingly he is the one responsible for making sure contact with Ben and his people continues. He also gets punished for the breaching protocol but it's not as bad as it could be. And apparently he has a sister too so I imagine we'll meet her eventually. Tomorrow's group makes it to Zahn's home and the fact that they finally have peace and quiet that comes from a lived settlement certainly causes different thoughts amongst Chelsea and Samara. Chelsea in particular is a bit conflicted about the fact that they are in a safer place but fortunately Khara is there to talk about things and thanks get heated and physical real quick. One then I really caught my eye was the fact that the guilt of what she did is finally catching up to Samara. I think that to say that this was long overdue as an understatement but I suppose that her pregnancy could be making her more emotional at this point. Pregnancy hormones are like that. Still though that does bring up a good point about how complicated their meeting will be. I imagine how that will be addressed when it happens.

Can you remind me a bit about the geography? Specifically, have we been told where Zahn's village is relative to where they are headed? I remember Ben was in the 'Ontario' bunker, which was... Toronto-ish? I can't remember now where Chelsea and Samara woke up, but I remember they were headed (roughly?) south, and I'm pretty sure Zahn had told them about D'troi?

Ben came out of a bunker from around Mulmur, Ontario, while Samara, Chelsea and Markie came out of one not too far from Oxdrift, a few hours east of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Samara and her group found Zahn, and headed south and east, whereas Ben headed southwest with Ylva, and eventually, Lawrie and his group. As far was where Samara is exactly, she is around the Mille Lacs, Minniesota area currently, with Zahn's home about 10 or so miles from the lake itself.

Ah, thank you, that makes more sense now. I remember thinking early on in the story that they would be coming to D'troi from opposite directions, but that was a long time ago, and I had forgotten the details. I was looking at the map today, and realized that didn't really work unless Samara was looping around the bottom of the Great Lakes...

Is Samara ever going to find Ben?
