Made me remember that when I poured concrete at my house, I had made some forms for the extra material. Never enough fun stuff. they could have taken advantage of the excess goop and made some drone dogs and cats. Drone so that they could fight and fly with VI. Interesting ideas to consider, like feeding the skin. Good story, my first time through, but interesting enough to merit additional reads.
