Good afternoon everyone! I hope that you are all doing well on this day and I have some news that needed to be shared with everyone. While some folks may not be too keen on the things I am about to say, they need to be said and done. Without further ado, let's get into it.

Right out of the gate, I needed to let everyone know that I am doing what I call a 'pushback' of my stories. What this means is that the additional chapters that were supposed to be released this month, will be pushed back to next month. Project Prometheus Ch. 36, Gaia's Champion Ch. 27 and Tales of the Wastelander Ch. 16 will still be coming, but they will be released in May instead of this month.

Why am I doing this? Simply put, trying to play catch up on everything I fell behind on, on top of my daily and familial obligations, is kicking me to the point of burnout. I'm certain that some folks here on my page are aware of just what burnout can do to a person. For those who don't know, the closest thing to burnout would be waking up the next day from a massive rager, after you drank too much, toked a bit much, with a splitting headache, feeling nauseated and wondering why there's puke all over your clothes, on top of feeling like you had an everything day at the gym. That's how bad burnout can hit someone and that is something I would genuinely like to avoid, if possible.

Because I am taking this time to do this pushback, I will have time to do some of the things that people have been asking me to do. Such as more background lore, character bios and fully updated versions of Project Prometheus chapters, along with epubs for the chapters that lack them. I know some folks will be all 'Why are you torturing us?!? We need more story!! Please!!!' I share in that frustration more than you know, as there's nothing I'd rather be doing more than writing, as it one my greatest passions! Sadly, there's only so much I can do as a working writer, but I do what I can with the time I can steal away.

Worry not, as Gaia's Champion Ch. 26 and Tales of the Wastelander Ch. 15 are more than halfway completed and well on the way to being fully finished. On top of which, the artist I had commissioned for some artwork has come out of surgery OK and is working on the piece I commissioned! While I know it's not the news that everyone wanted to hear, that is the reality of the situation. Reality does really suck sometimes and though it is a pain in the ass, in the immortal words of Admiral McRaven, I need to, 'Get over being a sugar cookie and keep moving forward.' Bonus points if you understood the reference or saw the video!

Well, that about wraps things up for this update and I do truly hope that everyone understands why I'm doing this. Being a one man writing machine isn't easy, but I do what I can with the time I am given. As always, thank you all for the support you have given me by showing up here to help me realize my dream of becoming a full time writer! Have yourselves a good one, and may God, Allah, Yahweh, Odin, or whatever you believe in, keep you safe during these times. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing, and take the right amount of time to get the story and your life in balance.

Afternoon C.H. Just read your notes and it is totally understood. I will always support quality over quantity, so you do what you need. This is your universe, we are just the Watchers. To observe the events, but not to get involve (ok, maybe a beer or two)

Thanks for taking the time to update us. For my part, take all the time you need, I prefer the writers that I follow to keep writing and not dissappear on me. If that means you have to take some time for yourself, then by all means, I can wait.

Kris

Agreed, too many great authors burn out and quit all together, the story created so far has been awesome, and I look forward to reading more in the future.

Rothai

Definitely find that work/life balance. And while your fans are eager... they'll be here and enjoy all the other stuff. Take care of yourself!

Yeah, it's was a few years ago that Admiral William McRaven made that motivational speech back in 2014, but it was recorded and rebroadcasted many, many times since. It is just that good, so make your bed and change the world, one task at a time. Yes C.H., a little pushback to help to get your life back in order is AOKAY with your understanding fans/readers. You need that family life to allow you to be able to stretch your imagination and write. So take the time that you need, do your tasks daily, and we will enjoy many, many chapters from you in the times to come. Uoo-Rah! ;-) TTFN
