and yet another story ruined by the futa/trans/d-girl bs they dont belong in this stuff story was going so good to

C. H. Darkstrider

I respect your opinion and if you wish to read something that doesn't have that, feel free to find another creator if you don't like the stories I am writing.

Thanks for another great chapter. I think I updated my tier level correctly to continue enjoying your stories. Personally, I think you’re short changing yourself. Writing is hard. Which is why most of us are readers and not writers. I follow other authors here and pay 99 cents per chapter. When you are posting up to three chapters per month, I’m getting a bargain. So I’m okay with the $2 and would be more than happy to pay per chapter. Not suggesting you change again, but anyone who complains just does not understand the amount of hard work all of you put in to make our day a little better.

C. H. Darkstrider

Thank you! It's great to know that people appreciate all the hard work that goes into crafting these worlds and bringing them to life!

MICHAEL MCCARTHY

I haven't even read the chapter yet..but yay!!!!!

If the group of four mercenaries could over hear the conversation at the end of the chapter, they had to be pretty close, Why were the dogs not alerting to their proximity by smell or sound?

C. H. Darkstrider

All good points, which can be easily explained. The mercs were far enough away to hear the group and them thinking they were alone, they were bound to be a bit loud. On top of which, being by the river, where there are many differing smells, an untrained pup wouldn't be able to sort scents out, even a Darkwolf pup. At a place like that, when most of the world is abandoned that far north, it reasonable to think that no one else is around. If they were in the Expanse, further south, different story.

I couple of chapters ago, you alluded to surprise that Ben had in store for the slavers they were after. My interpretation was it was something physical he was building. Did I understand that wrong? He has not mentioned what that is to any of his party and now they are planning to get a local militia.

C. H. Darkstrider

It wasn't a surprise per se. It was more of Ben putting together better weapons than what they had and seeing them with a cart built up, so they could travel faster than on foot. Also, an aspect about Ben is how he equates slavers to bullies and he really hates bullies. Makes them suffer if he can, so they know to knock that shit off. Expect something along those lines once they catch Trahl'khan and his lot.

prsstarid

That would imply that the four merc's are not successful reaching Trahl'khan first or taking Trahl'khan down and grabbing his slaves.

I would say something about what I have planned, but... spoilers!

Glad to see what Rayne was hiding. And I have to say that considering how less than warm reception she has received because of what she is, it makes sense that she is as closed off as she is. Glad to see her find someone who is very accepting of her in no time. It was all so interesting to see the fact that Samara has some talent as an artist and that said talon can actually be a source of profit in the future.
