I was reading the chapter thru again and came across some questions that I was curious about. When Ben's group is at Tired Grove, they talk to the gate guard. The guard mentions Gertrude and Bellona by name. Why was there not any reaction from Ben's group? Even Ben and Ylva know Tasya's story, so I was have expected some kind of recognition from their names being mentioned.

So this tonic that Trahl'khan is going to take will give him the same mental abilities as Gertrude and Bellona? Is the ability temporary or permanent?

Still wondering which direction you will choose for Ben and Samara to finally connect. The story is not clear on how far apart they presently are and the girls have not run across anyone that knows been or his exploits. They are only heading in the direction of the facility that he was in. But based on what we know based on the clues given... 1. Samara, Chelsea and Markie finding Ben on their quest since he does not know they are in his timeline. 75% chance. 2. Both groups crossing paths by accident. 20% chance. 3. Ben seeing the painting done (possibly signed) by Samara and starts searching for her. 5% chance.

One last question for you. Is Ben more of a Machinist or Engineer? The reason I am asking is that you said his classic car would come into play later in the story and there are two major problems with that being used in this timeline. Rubber tire replacements and fuel. If he was an Engineer, he could possibly convert it to solar but possibly not if he is only a machinist. Still not sure how they are going to make replacement tires. Possibly switch to tracks like a tank? The other option would be to salvage tires from somewhere.
