I enjoyed this chapter a lot. The planet Prodosia has a major infestation of Confeds with a fleet now on the way. Plus, there is still the issue of the pirates heading to the planet. I know the crew have powers and the Darkstrider has a major upgrade, but that is still a huge force to go up against. I will be back for the next chapter to see what happens.

OUTSTANDING Chapter! I was rather surprised that you brought Matthias around so well, I expected him to be both ignorant and heartless,.. I am glad that I was wrong,.. breathlessly awaiting chap #40, thanks for a good read,.. I really enjoyed this chapter - there were a lot of revelations. I think my only bit of criticism, and it could entirely be because of how the chapters are broken up - but from the ambush to the betrayer's shootout seemed rather jarring. I re-read that part a few times and it kept leaving me with the feeling I had missed something. Still looking forward to the next chapter. :)

Remember that Sargol sent out a signal to all his agents planetside, wherever they may be embedded. I will expand on this further with additional details in the next chapter.

Yeah, I remembered that. I think my disconnect was how we go from one paragraph the tension is Alex/Matthias and then the next is a sudden inevitable betrayal - it throws me off even on re-reading it but I couldn't explain it better than that. I liked the name of the protocol though.
