“Rooms, I can provide! Knowledge of a group of boys? They wouldn’t happen to call themselves the Lost Boys, now would they?” Keyvel queried.
“You know them?” the man asked, his face hopeful.
“I know of them, and of all the trouble they have caused. You looking for them?” the innkeeper questioned.
“We are. That’s why we are here, to deal with these boys and to take them home, before they cause any more trouble,” the man implored.
“You should know that these boys have done some pretty dark things here. Some of which is bad enough to warrant serious punishment,” Keyvel warned.
“We are aware of this. Which is why we are her to take them with us, so we may be the ones that punish them. It’s our job, as these boys’ fathers, to set them straight,” the man told Keyvel.
“So, you are aware of the things they have done? How?” Keyvel asked.
“Your town wasn’t the only one they came through. There have been at least half a dozen other towns they have passed through. They’ve caused all kinds of mayhem and added to their number with each town they’ve arrived at. Murder, rape, among many other things, have happened in the various towns before they came here,” the leader stated.
“If you’re here to take these boys down, then you and yours are welcome to stay here! You might also have some help in dealing with these boys!” Keyvel stated, gesturing towards the women, who had just finished reassembling their guns.
“Pinkskin women? You’re joking, right?” one of the younger men scoffed.
“You think because I’m a Pinkskin, that automatically makes me weak?” Chelsea asked, sounding more than a little miffed.
“Yeah, it does! I mean, no offense girlie, but you’re more likely to be a liability than a help out there, against even boys of our kind,” the man laughed.
“How about I kick your ass right here and now?” Chelsea challenged as she got to her feet. The man laughed at her, as did a few others, but the older men took a step back, knowing the woman was serious. The one man only stopped laughing once Chelsea was standing in front of him, with her hands on her hips.
“You really want to do this? Fine! I’ll try to make this as painless as possible, honey,” the man chuckled.
Samara made a face as she heard this, knowing full well that Chelsea was going to lay his ass out! He then placed a meaty hand on her shoulder, but quickly found himself being pulled off his feet and slammed to the flat of his back. The shock of this happening only slowed the man down for a moment. He then scrambled back to his feet and attacked Chelsea, only to wind up on the floor again, with the woman standing over him.
Chelsea’s friends laughed at the fight, as it was clear as day that Chelsea was in command of it. Unknown to him, Chelsea was a purple cord in Capoeira, which was close to being an instructor in the martial art. She had apparently just earned it before they went under, so she still knew how to fight. Every time the man tried to attack her, Chelsea would just dance out of the way, then use one of her techniques to put him on his ass again.
“All right, Noylahn. That’s enough. I think the lady here has proved her point,” the leader of the men told him.
“One more, Kharno! I can take her,” Noylahn stated as he breathed heavily.
“I seriously doubt that. I mean, look at you! You’re breathing like you ran a marathon, while Chelsea here has barely broken a sweat! Keep at it and she might be inclined to crack some bones! You’re damned lucky she hasn’t done so already!” Samara stated as she stood up, cocking her gun.
The men there then looked at Samara and the array of weaponry on the table behind her. Their eyebrows climbed, as they knew full well the destructive power these weapons held. If such women possessed these weapons and could fight like that, then it was better to have them on your side than against it.
“Going by the way… Chelsea, handed you your ass, I’m inclined to believe this woman! Besides, you more or less had that one coming,” Kharno chuckled as he clapped Noylahn on the shoulder.
