February 2022 Update! (Patreon)

Good evening, everyone, C.H. Darkstrider here with the monthly update! There’s a fair bit that has to be spoken about in this month’s update, as a lot has happened in that time. So, without anymore beating around the bush, let’s get into it.

First off, I wanted to address the delayed release of the past month’s chapters. I know it’s slower than what everyone would like, but COVID went and showed up, kicking my ass. When you catch such a thing, you often find that the things that you want to do, you can’t do as well or as quickly as you would like.

Thankfully, I’ve gotten past it and I’m nearly back to my old self, so no worries, I’m OK! It’s going to take a lot more than a pesky virus to keep me down and even then, the undertaker will have to nail my coffin shut to stop me! So, pretty soon, it will be back to our regularly scheduled writing!

As far as the other three overdue chapters are concerned, they are on the way and will be arriving soon. I’m hoping to have at least one, possibly two, ready by the end of the weekend. If anyone is worried about the quality suffering at all, worry not, as I have my trusty notebooks to help keep things straight.

Next, I wanted to bring up artwork, or lack thereof. I was super excited to finally have an artist with the quality level of art I was looking for, to do some work for me. Imagine my shock and dismay when I learned that my request was… pushed to the wayside and subsequently… forgotten.

Yeah, needless to say, I was beyond disappointed. Hell, I was downright pissed that I was pushed aside like that! I mean, I was ready to pay money upfront, and we had even discussed the particulars of what I was looking for, and the dude just forgot?? That felt like a real sucker punch. But, at least I didn’t spend any money on the dude and wind up with nothing in return. Well, back to the search, I guess.

Although, there is something else I have in the works, which I will not talk about just yet. Aside from saying this about it, of course. I would love to talk all about what I am working on, but I have noticed that in some cases, when I talk about certain things, it tends to jinx them and I don’t want to do that. Just know that there is something that is being worked on that will be revealed when it is ready.

I know this isn’t the news people have been hoping for and trust me, this is a real kick to the nuts for me as well! But, such is life when you are busy making plans and doing all you can to see them through. Sometimes, things don’t work out the way you want them to, but that’s OK. I’m a firm believer that the universe tends to unfold the way that it should.

Well, that about wraps it up for this month’s update! I do hope that everyone is staying safe, masking up when they go out, socially distancing, and making sure you get vaccinated and boosted, if you haven’t already been! It helped me knock COVID to the curb, so it works! Be safe everyone! Cheers!
