April 2022 Update! (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, C.H. Darkstrider here with the monthly update! There’s a few things to talk about this month, along with a rehash of a few other things. So, without anymore lollygagging, let’s get into it!

Firstly, I wanted to bring up my current pace, which is on par with how things turned out last month. I know that I probably should have done some catching up, but last month was my anniversary with my wife. So, yeah, my writing schedule got pushed back a bit, but things will be returning to a regular pace now, so, on that front, all is well!

Next on the list is a bit of good news for my patrons/subscribers, but not so great news for my regular fans. Said news is that as far as my free release schedule is concerned, that will be slowing down a bit. Basically put, I will no longer be doing any double releases of my story chapters to any of the free sites.

I feel like I give away too much and need to slow down the pace there for a bit. At least until I have a proper ratio of what is free to what is not. This change is happening effective immediately, so for all of my patrons/subscribers, there will be more story for you. A lot more!

This next piece of news is one that I’m certain will be met with great enthusiasm! On a bit of advice from my wife, I have decided to start up my own podcast! This means that there will be live Q&A sessions, interviews, discussions, the possibilities are endless! While this is new and exciting venture, I still have to formalize a proper outline, as well as craft a proper schedule for it.

I know that there will be many questions regarding this podcast, but I will answer what I consider the most important question; any patron/subscriber, from Passenger to Admiralty, will be able to participate, should they wish it! So, for any and all who have questions they wish to ask me directly, along with anything they want to talk about concerning the stories I write, you will have them answered!

The last item on the agenda today is artwork. I know, no new art has dropped yet, and that’s because I still am hunting for an artist who can do the artwork I’m looking for. I swear, finding one is turning out to be one hell of a hassle! Seriously, it’s like banging your head against a brick wall, hoping you’ll punch through, not realizing you need a sledgehammer!

Still going to keep looking though, as I know there is one out there who’s got the skills and talent I’m looking for. Speaking of which, that artwork that was found by Cornbread, which he feels depicts the Darkstrider ship? I will say that it isn’t far off! Not a bad find there, Cornbread!

Well, that about does it for this month’s update! I hope everyone out there is staying safe, masking up where necessary and still keeping your distance! We’re nearly out of this everyone, so let’s all come out of the pandemic together! Cheers!
