May 2022 update! (Patreon)

Good evening everyone, C.H. Darkstrider here with the monthly update! I know it’s another late one, but when life calls, you answer or get left behind. Being left behind is not something I wish to experience, so I continue to answer life’s call. But, with everything that’s been going on, I have a fair bit to talk about. So, without any further ado, let’s get into it.

The first thing to talk about is the pace at which I have been doing my writing. I know that I have been falling behind at times and do everything possible to keep on top of things. Been beating myself up every time it happens, as I hope to be able to make up for the things I’ve missed the deadline for, or at least catch up.

The thing is, I’ve realized that I can’t keep pushing myself too hard like this and need to start being more forgiving of myself. I mean, how many other writers out there crank out as many story chapters as I do in a single month? From what I can tell, there aren’t many who can do such things, especially with the diverse and differing stories that I tell! So, I will be taking more time to get things done and put out what I can, when I can. I am still going to aim for my own personal marks, but I won’t be too fussed if I miss it. It will all get done, sooner or later.

Coming around to our next topic, which is concerning a new idea I’ve had. The idea itself is something I’ve kicked around for a while, but never thought about doing until recently. The idea in question is to start filling out the other worlds and universes I have in my head.

For those who are new and may not know, a while ago, I put a collection of ideas I had up to a vote as a new third story! This third story idea would become an exclusive tale for my patrons/subscribers. The people who were here at the time voted and the story chosen was Tales of the Wastelander. But, the other ideas I put up have just been sitting in disused notebooks, collecting dust since then. Well, no more!

I have decided that it is past time to open up those notebooks and start delving into these universes once again! On top of which, I have had several ideas jump into my head, all of which are demanding that I write them! So, even while I answer life’s call, I am also going to answer the call of these tales that wish to be made into reality!

While I do have a large workload, even being busy with how to work this podcast I’m setting up, I know I can do it! The journey of a thousand miles begins with but a single step and enough steps will accomplish the journey! Once I have each story ready for two chapters a piece, then they will be written and posted up here! Keep an eye out for teasers on the horizon! Maybe even a returning story that I archived! 😉

Finally, the last bit I wanted to talk about relates to the one thing I spoke of a while back. My secret project! It is still in the works and the process of making it into a reality is a lengthy one. It’s taking me longer than I’d like, but given enough time, it will be ready and arrive to much appreciation! That much, I am certain of!
